Today’s Best NHL Same Game Parlay Bets

Check out my top three NHL same game parlays for Wednesday.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Calgary Flames

  • Leg 1: Avalanche ML (+105)
  • Leg 2: OVER 5.5 Total Goals (-140)
  • Leg 3: OVER 2.5 Avalanche Total Goals (-150)

The Avalanche have faced some adversity as they defend their championship. Losing key players like Nazem Kadri, Darcy Kuemper, and Andre Burakovsky in free agency was tough enough, but their roster has taken further bumps with accruing injuries.

They are starting to get healthy again with forwards Valeri Nichushkin, Evan Rodrigues, and goaltender Pavel Francouz returning, but they are still missing key players on the blue line.

The Flames are also not having the best season, but they don’t have the excuse of injuries. This was one of the top offenses last season, and although they generate 35 shots a game, they’re 24th in expected goals percentage.

Another surprise has been the regression of Jacob Markstrom. Last year’s Vezina Trophy runner-up is just 13-11-5 with a .894 save percentage and has yet to record a shutout.

This is an excellent opportunity for the Avs to steal one on the road. The team is getting healthy and has scored 13 goals in the last two games.

Boston Bruins vs. New York Islanders

  • Leg 1: Bruins -1.5 (+145)
  • Leg 2: David Pastrnak Anytime Goal (-105)
  • Leg 3: UNDER 2.5 Islanders Total Goals (-110)

It is tough to find any flaws when looking at the Boston Bruins. David Pastrnak has scored the most point for someone that doesn’t play on the Oilers, Brad Marchand is averaging over a point a game, and they’re third in expected goals.

The highlight is still watching Linus Ullmark behind the net. It’s difficult to argue against giving him for the Vezina Trophy because he leads all goaltender in every significant statistical category.

New York had a great start to the season, but they’ve trended downward over the last couple of months. The offense looked excellent at one point, but forwards like Mathew Barzal, Brock Nelson, and Anders Lee are starting to fade.

It’s unfortunate because they are getting a stellar season out of Ilya Sorokin, who is top four in goals against and save percentage.

The last matchup was exciting, with each team trading goals and the Bruins winning in a shootout. That will not happen tonight with the struggling Isles offense.

Parlay Odds: +530

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Ottawa Senators

  • Leg 1: Penguins ML (-120)
  • Leg 2: OVER 1.5 Total First Period Goals (-155)
  • Leg 3: OVER 3.5 Penguins Total Goals (+120)

The Penguins went through a brutal part of the schedule at a time when their defensive depth had taken a hit. Over their last 11 games, they’ve faced Vegas, New Jersey, Winnepeg, and Carolina twice, and they’ve lost eight with the three wins against Vancouver, Anaheim, and Arizona.

Ottawa is another below .500 team they will try to take advantage of. The Senators have played some awful games as of late by losing 8-4 to Seattle, then 7-0 to Colorado.

Cam Talbot and Anton Forsberg have been horrendous behind the net, and it doesn’t help the offense has been shut out twice in the last four games.

It won’t matter if it’s Dustin Tokarski or Casey DeSmith in the net, the Pens have the offense that can win them this game.
