Chicago Blackhawks at Columbus Blue Jackets
- Leg 1: Blackhawks Moneyline (-172)
- Leg 2: Over 6.5 Goals (+104)
- Leg 3: Ryan Donato 1+ Points (-105)
The Blackhawks (17-31-7) and Blue Jackets (26-22-8) meet at Nationwide Arena in Columbus. The game can be viewed or streamed on ESPN+.
This is the second meeting of the season, with Columbus doubling up Chicago 6-3 at United Center on December 1st as a moderate favorite (-133) as the over (6.5). The Blue Jackets have won four straight meetings in this series, outscoring the Blackhawks 22-9, with all four of the victories coming by three or more goals. The over has hit in three consecutive meetings in this series, while the total has gone high at a 7-1-1 clip in the past nine in the series since April 10th, 2021.
Before the 4 Nations Face-Off break, the Blackhawks suffered a 6-5 shootout loss at Enterprise Center in St. Louis against the Blues. The teams easily combined to cash the over (5.5). The Blackhawks are just 1-2-2 in the past five games and 5-12-5 in the past 22 outings since December 21st. The over has cashed in three in a row for the Blackhawks, averaging 4.7 goals per game (GPG), while allowing 4.0 GPG in that span.
Petr Mrazek (10-18-2, 3.27 GAA, .897 SV%) is scheduled to be in the crease for the visitors, while Elvis Merzlikins (19-14-4, 2.99 GAA, .895 SV%, 1 shutout) is expected to get the nod for the home side. With Mrazek in between the pipes and the dominance of the Blue Jackets in this series lately, Columbus is a good play at home. The over is the way to go, too.
Looking at player props, Ryan Donato has four goals and eight points in the past four games, including three power-play points. At near even-money, Donato is a good bet to notch at least one point. He simply needs a goal or an assist and you’re good. This brings our parlay over +400 odds.

Carolina Hurricanes at Toronto Maple Leafs
- Leg 1: Hurricanes Moneyline (-122)
- Leg 2: Over 5.5 Goals (-130)
- Leg 3: Matthew Knies Anytime Goal Scorer (+290)
The Hurricanes (33-19-4) and the Maple Leafs (33-20-2) meet at Scotiabank Arena at 7:00 p.m. ET on NHL Network.
Carolina throttled the Utah Hockey Club 7-3 in its most recent showing on February 8th before the 4 Nations Face-Off break. That likely quelled some fears by Hurricanes fans, as the offense had managed just three goals in the previous three games before that touchdown against Utah.
Toronto was nipped 2-1 by the Vancouver Canucks on the road, as the Maple Leafs just missed a perfect 4-for-4 West Coast road trip. It returns home where things haven’t been as good. Toronto lost 3-1 to the Minnesota Wild on January 29th in the most recent showing in front of the home fans, while falling 5-1 to the Columbus Blue Jackets on January 22nd. The Leafs haven’t beaten anyone at home since January 20th, when they upended the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-3 as a slight favorite (-127) as the over (6.5) cashed.
Carolina welcomes back Sebastian Aho and Mikko Rantanen from Team Finland, Seth Jarvis from Team Canada and Jaccob Slavin from Team USA, while Toronto had leading scorer Mitch Marner representing Canada, William Nylander playing for Team Sweden and Auston Matthews playing for Team USA.
The Hurricanes have been a thorn in the side of the Maple Leafs, winning five straight in this series, including a 6-3 doubling up of Toronto at Lenovo Center in Raleigh on January 9th. Jordan Staal had a pair of goals, including a short-handed marker, while Jarvis had an empty-net goal.
We’ll go with Matthew Knies as an anytime goal scorer here. He has five goals and nine points in the past seven outings, including three points on the man advantage. Take Carolina and let’s go high on the total to wrap up this parlay.
Parlay Odds: +1092
