Unfortunately for the Mountaineers, their offense (and team) might just be heating up at the wrong time as the 4-4 squad comes into this one off of back-to-back impressive wins, winning outright both times as underdogs. On the offensive side of the ball, quarterback Jarret Doege is turning into one of the best passers in the league, averaging 258.9 yards per game, including 370 last week vs. Iowa State.
On the ground, they’re also coming into this one off of back-to-back 100+ rushing performances and are as well balanced as any time in the league over the last two weeks.
For the Cowboys, the offense has lived and died with running back Jaylen Warren, one of the most physical and elite running back in the entire country. Averaging 106.3 yards per game, not only is he big, but he possesses breakaway speed and is a nightmare for any secondary tackle that comes his way.

Bottom Line
For the #11 Cowboys, their only loss on the season has come against Iowa, but not all losses are made the same. Their three out of conference games against (FCS) Missouri State, Tulsa, and Boise State, came by a combined 13 points, as they’ve continued to narrowly avoid defeat in Big 12 play as well.
In this one, I like for the home Mountaineers to keep this one close and stay inside the number before it’s all said and done.
