PGA Betting Picks: Best Prop Bets for The Sentry Tournament of Champions (2022)
After near a month-long layoff, the PGA Tour resumes this weekend in Hawaii (Maui) with the Sentry Tournament of Champions. To qualify for this event, you had to win a tournament in the 2020-21 season, making this field one of the most stacked of the entire season.
Played this year on the Kapalua Resort (Plantation Course), the course features Bermuda grass and greens and will be one of the easiest these pros see all season. Let’s take a closer look at the field itself and see where the value remains.

Top-10 Finish
Jordan Spieth (+130 on DraftKings Sportsbook)
In what will be a field of just 39 players, I think Spieth has an excellent chance to go low in this one. With a scoring average of 68.25, Spieth comes into this one amongst the best in the field at Kapalua.
Despite having not qualified for the event since 2018, his 2.81 strokes-gained is the best in the entire field. In his four starts here dating back to 2014, Spieth has finished in the top 10 in all of them, including a win in 2016.
With 12 rounds here 70 or lower, I like Spieth to finish low once again and pick up his third high finish in three attempts to start the 2021-22 season.
Xander Schauffele (-120 on DraftKings Sportsbook)
Schauffele has played in this event four times, finding success in his last three appearances. Starting with a win in 2019, where he shot 62 on Sunday to tie the course record, Schauffelle has a solo 2nd and 5th appearance in his two starts since.
Over his last 12 rounds, Schauffele has a scoring average of just 68.17 and has shown a propensity to absolutely dominate this course, scoring over 69 in just three of them.
In his three starts to begin the 2021-22 season, Schauffele has finished T28 or higher in all three, shooting 69 or lower in seven rounds. I expect a strong end to the 2020-21 season to be carried over into this one as Schauffele goes low to start what should be a great season.
