The PGA Tour stays international this week for the second straight week, as the field heads east from Japan for this week’s Bermuda Championship in Southampton, Bermuda. Featuring a mix of Tour veterans and upstart rookies, this week’s winner is set to receive 500 FedEx Cup points.

Course Preview (Port Royal Golf Course)

Located on the western coast of the island of Bermuda, Port Royal is a resort-style course that players have been known to tear up for four days, with 2019’s winner (Todd) going -24 on the week. Located directly on the coast way out in the Atlantic, the course is known for its high winds, which make its Par 3s among the most difficult on Tour.

It also features massive Bermuda greens and is one of the shortest courses these guys will see all year, two things we’ll want to keep in mind when taking a look at this week’s field.

Outright Betting Picks

Seamus Power (+2000 on DraftKings Sportsbook)
In what will be just his third event of the season, Power elected to take the month of September off, which proved to be the right choice, finishing T21 in his most recently played event, the Shriners. That was following a torrid end to the 2021 season this summer, as Power finished T19 or higher in six of his eight final events to end the season.

Most notably, Power won the Barbasol Championship outright in July, playing all four rounds at 68 or lower to secure the first win of his career.

Looking at his two appearances here at Port Royal, Power made the cut in both instances and shot 70 or lower in seven of his eight total rounds. In this one, I expect the Irishman to take the confidence he gained this summer playing against the world’s best to translate well in this less-talented field on a track he knows well and should have no problem scoring on.
