Thanksgiving break is over for the PGA Tour, albeit in an unofficial fashion, as 18 of the world’s best head to the Bahamas this week for the Hero World Challenge. Hosted by Tiger Woods and his foundation, no FedEx Cup points will be at stake, but the winner will take home $1 million.
In the event that Tiger has won five times and will be on hand throughout the week this year, let’s take a closer look at the course and field and see where the value lies.

Course Preview (Albany Golf Course)
With 2021 marking its sixth year hosting this event, Albany Golf Course (AGC) comes in at just over 7,300 yards and is riddled with water hazards and large dunes, as are common throughout the Caribbean. An Ernie Els-designed course, AGC plays like a traditional links course, making it unique given the water hazards throughout.
Since the event has moved to Albany, the average winner has come in just under -20 and with the field similar each year (the world’s best), most playing this week have at least 2-3 laps around the track in their back pocket.

Jordan Spieth (+1100 on DraftKings Sportsbook)
Spieth comes into the 2021 edition of the Hero World Challenge at Albany, having played at all but one of the previous iterations, missing 2018’s event due to his honeymoon. Before his poor showing here in 2019, an overall down year for the 12-time PGA Tour winner, Spieth has finishes of 3, 4, and 6, with an average score of -14.3.
In his sole start this season (outside of a Ryder Cup he played well in), Spieth finished T18 at the CJ Cup, shooting 67 or better in three of his four rounds. In what will be his first start since the birth of his son, I like for Spieth to go low this one and shine the brightest in a field packed full of stars.
