Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens Odds & Game Pick (2020)
One of the most physical rivalries in all of sports will get back underway Sunday afternoon in Baltimore when the undefeated (6-0) Steelers travel to take on the (5-1) Ravens. In a game that is historically known as being decided by three points or less, thereâs no shortage of bad blood that spills into the current season from the previous, no matter the depth chart.
In whatâs turning into a more crowded than usual AFC North race, letâs take a look at this yearâs first Ravens/Steelers matchup and see where we can spot the edge.

Overview
The Steelers will look to knockoff undefeated teams in back to back weeks when they hit the field in Baltimore this week, and they think they have the right guy back at the helm to do it. After missing nearly the entire 2019-20 season with an elbow injury, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is not only back on the field but putting up numbers that have him trending near his prime.
On the defensive side of the ball, the next man up approach the team has had for decades once again is proving critical. Despite losing starting inside linebacker Devin Bush for the season, Pittsburgh still finds themselves #1 in the league in yards allowed at 286.3 per game, while allowing under 20 (19.7) points per game (#5).
For the Ravens, a bye week came at the perfect time as they prepare to gain control of the AFC North in this one in what should be their most physical game of the season to this point. Quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has electrified the league while taking the Ravens on a deep run last season, has yet to find success against the Black and Gold.
In his one career game against the Steelers, Jackson had three interceptions and was sacked a career-high five times.
Trends
- The Underdog is 18-7-3 in the last 27 Steelers vs. Ravens matchups
- The Steelers are 4-0 ATS in their last four games
- The Ravens are 1-4 ATS in their last five Week 8 games

First Half Total OVER 23.5 (+100)
When you think of classic Ravens-Steelers matchups, close games and the under almost always comes to mind. This yearâs teams both feature offenses however that knows how to put points on the board averaging a combined 60 points per game. I like both teams to get off the blocks early, especially a rested and prepared Ravens team coming off a bye.
Bottom Line
As a general rule of them, any time this game finds itself more than a three-point spread, Iâm on the underdog. There are not two teams at any level of football who know each other better, and while the best of the number (Steelers +6) is certainly gone, I still think the road dog in an empty M&T Bank Stadium possesses some value.
Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers +3.5 & Over 46.5
