We’re almost a third of the way through the 2022-23 English Premier League season, as plenty of storylines already abound. As things heat up across England, let’s take a closer look at a game I’m keyed in on as the calendar turns to October: Chelsea vs. Wolves.

Chelsea (-260) vs. Wolves (+700)
After a slow start to their campaign, the Chelsea Blues are right back where they belong; near the top of the table. Currently sitting #5 with seven games down, Chelsea will look to continue their current winning streak (two games) as they welcome the fledgling Wolves to town. The last time we saw Chelsea on the pitch was a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace last week, a back-and-forth game that ultimately fell the Blue’s way.
As for the Wolves, finishing last season in the middle of the table was widely considered a success, but things have gotten off to a rocky start in 2022. Winning just one game to this point, the Wolves sit #18 on the table with a goal differential of -6. Their last two games have been particularly alarming, losing both by a goal differential of -5.
Look for Chelsea striker Raheem Sterling to get back on the scorers sheet early in this one as Chelsea comes out firing at home Saturday afternoon in London.
