Leicester (+280) vs. Chelsea (-105)

Chelsea’s two significant victories last week might just be the spark they needed. To advance in the Champions League, they beat Dortmund while also beating Leeds in EPL play.

Prior to last weekend’s victory, Graham Potter’s team had lost four straight Premier League games and was free-falling down the table. After the win, they now sit in tenth place with 34 points, five points below Fulham and Conference League positions. Chelsea also had just one win in their previous nine home league games before to the aforementioned victory and Wednesday’s Champions League triumph against Dortmund in the round of 16.

The main cause of the dismal outcomes during this time was a severe offensive drought. They only managed to score nine goals, as they’ve now gone seven games without a victory away from home with a goal difference of -7.

The Champions League victory by Chelsea over Dortmund may mark a turning point for the London team. Nonetheless, their attacking difficulties seem not to have been totally rectified, and as visitors, they are one of the worse teams in front of goal. In fact, they have only scored three goals throughout their seven-game road losing streak.

The home team’s offense is also going through a difficult time right now as well, however, and if Chelsea has shown any strength in recent days, it has been their defense.

Chelsea edges this one out.

Pick: Chelsea (-105)

Tottenham (+370) vs. Nottingham Forest (+260)

After leading Spurs to an embarrassing Champions League exit against AC Milan on Wednesday, Antonio Conte’s tenure as Tottenham manager now seems to be on life support. With Nottingham Forest visiting the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the North Londoners are left with nothing to play for this season other than a top-four spot, as there’s not enough time for a championship run.

The Reds, who are now in 14th place, have just one away league victory to their record this season and have lost eight of their previous ten top-flight games in London. In his three Tottenham matches against the East Midlanders, Harry Kane has scored three goals, including a brace in the teams’ August 2017 meeting at the City Ground.

Tottenham likely routes here.

Pick: Tottenham -1 (+130)
