Today’s Best NHL Bets: Sabres vs. Blackhawks

Buffalo, another team looking to make a playoff push, gets set to take on Chicago on the second night of a back-to-back. The Sabres dropped a 4-1 contest to the Panthers last night, moving them to 21-19-2 on the season. Tonight’s game is slated for 8:30 p.m. ET from the United Center in Chicago, IL.

The Sabres’ strength this season has been their offense, which is second in scoring (3.8 GPG) and fourth on the man advantage (27.10%). They’ll have a favorable matchup against a Blackhawks team that struggles in every aspect of the game – especially defense. Chicago’s allowing 3.5 goals per game, which ranks 29th in the league. They’re also 25th on the PK, killing off just 74.02% of their opponent’s power play chances.

These are two teams trending in opposite directions, and I think we’ll see the skill gap on display tonight in Chicago. Look for the Sabres to pour it on offensively and cover the puck line against the horrible Hawks.

Bet: Buffalo Sabres -1.5 (+150 via DraftKings)
