NBA Same Game Parlay Picks

Utah Jazz vs. New York Knicks

Brunson’s a scoring machine. But he’s also earning a ton of assists per game. In February, Brunson added at least five assists per game. He’s hit six assists in four of his last five and is coming off a 30-point, nine-assist performance against the Philadelphia 76ers on the road. I trust Brunson to get everyone involved. He might even get to pass to Josh Hart tonight.

Meanwhile, Kelly Olynyk saw his minutes increase after the Trade Deadline. Against the Raptors, he added 15 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds. He’s already earned 6.6 rebounds per game in February. He’s also added four assists per game in February and has hit four assists in three of his last five. His added minutes greatly help him inch closer to a triple-double yet again.

All we’d need is four assists and six rebounds. That’s very doable for Olynyk if he’s getting over 30 minutes with this Utah team.

NBA Game Picks

Philadelphia 76ers at Brooklyn Nets

This has the potential to be one of the ‘best bets’ of the season but still holds as a good play even if the news weren’t to break our way.

The 76ers visit Brooklyn a day after a contentious, gritty come-from-behind win over the Knicks— a contest in which Embiid, Harden, Maxey, and Tobias Harris each played 30+ minutes. There’s serious rest potential for Philly on the road/ tail-end of this back-to-back, especially so considering C Joel Embiid has been nursing a lingering foot injury. If the Sixers do choose rest on Saturday night, the Nets will be considerable favorites on their home floor.

If not, this is still a decent bet. Don’t be so quick to fade the Nets amid the trades of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. The market has overreacted to these trades, unfairly shorting the Nets in their aftermath. While the absence of both of these players stings– it doesn’t so much immediately. Durant had been sidelined for some time, and Irving’s departure is more than made up for by the Nets’ acquisition of Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, Cam Johnson, and Mikal Bridges. The Nets, as presently constructed, are better than they were a week ago– and are a sneaky bet to cover spreads as oddsmakers catch up.

Bet: Nets +3 (-110)

First Basket Scorer

Chicago Bulls at Cleveland Cavaliers

Thursday’s trade deadline saw a handful of stars move teams and shifted expectations for many franchises. One team that didn’t move much was Cleveland, that is because they made their big splash in the offseason when they acquired Donovan Mitchell. I’m going to target him with a play here on Saturday.

Mitchell leads all Cavaliers with 14 first team field goals and 10 first field goals leading to First Baskets. Being the leading scorer for Cleveland he gets a bunch of opportunities to score early and often. Chicago doesn’t have a weakness against any one position for first field goals, but they struggle to win tip-offs with Vucevic at center. The strength of Mitchell’s ability and Cleveland’s likelihood to win the opening tip is what makes this a play for me on Saturday.

Pick: 0.25u Donovan Mitchell (+430)

NBA Prop Bets

Evan Mobley UNDER 29.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists (-115)

The Cavaliers have come into this game winning five straight, each by double-digits. As long as they stay healthy, they could be lethal in the playoffs thanks to the top Adjusted Defensive Rankings and eighth in Offensive.

They face the Bulls, who they’ve beaten in all three matchups, but they’ve been tough games, including one overtime win.

Chicago is also one of the top defensive teams in the league. Mobley has gone over his points/rebounds/assists prop in four of his previous five but has only gone over 29 in 34.5% of games this year. In his one game against the Bulls this year, he finished with a 16/3/1 stat line, and I’m not expecting him to do any better.

College Basketball Game Picks

Kentucky vs. Georgia Spread

The Kentucky Wildcats were exposed in their last game against the Arkansas Razorbacks, losing 88-73 at Rupp Arena after allowing 1.28 points per possession. However, a bad loss against a preseason top-ten team should not have the Big Blue faithful jumping off the bandwagon, especially given how the team has looked of late.

Entering the Arkansas game, Kentucky had won six of seven games, with its only loss coming against defending national champion Kansas in that span. The Wildcats ranked fourth in the SEC in that stretch in points per game (72.6), second in field goal percentage (45.3%), tied for third in 3-point field goal percentage (33.9%), and first in rebound margin (8.6).

However, offense and rebounding were not the problems in Kentucky’s 88-73 home loss to Arkansas in its last game, as it outrebounded the Razorbacks 31-26 and shot 46.7% (29 of 62) from the floor. It will be today, as one of its best perimeter shooters and best free-throw shooter (90.5%), CJ Fredrick, is out with cracked ribs.

Georgia is just 5-8 ATS at home and has covered four of 11 SEC games, but we are taking the contrarian side as Wildcats head coach John Calipari will have to revamp his offense slightly without Fredrick.

Bet: Georgia +8 (-110 at DraftKings)

NHL Game Picks

Pittsburgh Penguins (-102) vs. Los Angeles Kings (-118) | O/U 6.5 (-112/-108)

The Kings had a long All-Star break and will return to the ice for the first time since January 31st.

The offense continues to play well and has the ability to score, but they now they’ve resolved their goaltending issues.

They’ve fazed out long-time goalie Jonathan Quick for the journeyman Pheonix Copley. His overall stats won’t amaze you, but he’s 15-3-1 this season.

The Penguins also have a stellar forward unit that can go goal for goal with anyone. We’ll have to see if they saved any after putting six on the Ducks on Friday.

Goaltender Tristan Jarry is on injured reserve, and with Casey DeSmith playing last night, they re-called Dustin Tokarski, who will make his second start of the season.

The odds are very close, so this game could go either way. With average goaltending and two excellent forward units, you should push for the over.

Pick: Over 6.5 (-112)

NHL Goal In First Ten (GIFT) Picks

New York Rangers vs. Carolina Hurricanes

The Hurricanes have one of the better rosters in the league. They’re the top in Expected Goals For and Against, resulting in the best Goal Differential in the league.

They’ve won seven consecutive games and are fresh, with tonight being their first game since the All-Star break.

The Rangers have also played well recently. Coming with four straight wins, the offense has been hot and has scored 19 goals in that span.

Jaroslav Halak will be behind the net, and he’s been great by winning six straight and allowing just above two per game. He’ll play behind a defense allowing 2.62 goals per game and 29.5 shots.

The Rangers have one of the worse GIFT records this season, and the Canes are 2-3 in GIFTs in their last five. With two excellent defenses, we should see minimal scoring tonight.

Pick: Under 0.5 (+120)
