The Sea Dragons enter Week 3 with a 0-2 record. They lost 22-18 to the D.C. Defenders in Week 1. Seattle had another close defeat last week, losing 20-18 against the St. Louis Battlehawks. Part of the team’s struggles has come on offense. They have four touchdowns this season, the second-fewest in the XFL. Seattle has struggled on offense despite quarterback Ben DiNucci leading the league in passing yards. In addition, the team has four of the top 13 players in receiving yards this year. More importantly, the Sea Dragons are only one of two teams that have failed to score 20 or more points in either game this season, joining the Orlando Guardians.

Meanwhile, the Vipers had a tough Week 1 matchup against the Arlington Renegades, losing 22-20. However, Vegas didn’t show up in Week 2. They were defeated 18-6 by the D.C. Defenders. Quarterback Luis Perez had 249 passing yards and three touchdowns in Week 1. Unfortunately, Perez and Brett Hundley combined to complete 52.2% of their passes for only 98 yards last week. More importantly, the Vipers had only six points against the Defenders in Week 2, the fewest any team has scored in the XFL this season. Furthermore, they are the only team not to score double-digit points in both games this year.

These two teams have reached the 20-point platform only once in their four combined matchups. Furthermore, the Sea Dragons have averaged 18 points per game this year, while the Vipers have averaged only 13. The two teams would fail to hit the over by 7.5 points at their combined season averages. Bettors should expect a low-scoring matchup on Saturday.
