Texas A&M-CC vs. Southeast Missouri State

Over 159.5 Points

Each of these two teams ranks in the top 35 nationally in points per game. The Islanders are 24th averaging 78.3 per contest, and the Redhawks are 35th, averaging 77.2. While both teams are very good offensively, both are very bad defensively. The Islanders allow 72.9 points per game, while the Redhawks allow 77.7. That ranks 338th out of the 363 qualifying teams.

This is the first game of the NCAA Tournament so there could be some jitters, but the Islanders got to play in this game last season, and that experience is sure to carry them through the early moments of this game. Once nerves clear up, expect both of these teams to start scoring at a very high rate.

Chris Harris 25+ Points

Harris is the second leading scorer for the Redhawks behind Phillip Russell. However, Harris was the go-to player in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. He scored 25 or more points twice, including in the championship game against Tennessee Tech. Harris ended the season with at least 20 points in three consecutive games, and that trend should continue tonight.

With this game expected to be very high-scoring, there is a lot of value in taking Harris at this number which is offering very favorable odds.

Trevian Tennyson Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made

If Tennyson doesn’t hit at least three three-pointers in this game, it will be truly shocking. He’s just 3-14 in his last three games, but prior to that stretch, he was shooting the ball at a very high rate. For the season, he is shooting 41.2% from deep, and he averages 2.9 made three-pointers per game.

The Redhawks are not a good three-point defending team, which is going to give Tennyson plenty of chances to score from deep. With how high-scoring this game is going to be, expect Tennyson to potentially hit as many as five three-pointers. That’s something he has accomplished seven times already this year.
