Wednesday's Best WNBA Bets: Sparks vs. Wings
Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook
Los Angeles Sparks at Dallas Wings
The Sparks are poised to take on a Dallas Wings team that has been solid of late. Dallas has simply been the better team at home, going 3-1 against the spread while the Sparks seems to be a completely opposite team, going 1-3 ATS on the road
Arike Ogunbowale has been stellar, averaging 22.7 points per game with teammate Satou Sabally not far behind, averaging over 21 points. The Sparks meanwhile have been up and down already this season.
Simply put, Dallas is a better team. They are consistent both offensively and defensively while the Sparks rank in the middle of the pack on both sides of the ball. What also looms big is that Nneka Ogwumike – the Sparks leading scorer at 21.3 points per game – is questionable tonight with a foot injury. Her not being at 100 percent or out will be a big blow to Dallas.
Both teams have been slightly over teams, going a combined 10-7 over/under. In terms of scoring today, however, I could see it either way. The play here is clear to lean toward Dallas' side, especially with such a short number. Their third-ranked offense at home is superior to what Los Angeles has to offer away from home, and Ogunbowale is capable of having another incredible outing. Don't overthink this, go with the Wings.
Bet: Wings -4.5 (-110)
