The Bruce Arian’s era is off to a rocky start in Tampa with their Week 1 disaster where quarterback Jameis Winston threw three interceptions including two for touchdowns. The Panthers opened up against the NFC Champion Rams and were competitive for much of the game before ultimately losing by a field goal. This early-season NFC South showdown will be sure to have season-long implications.

For better or worse, Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold will forever be compared to one another as the two hottest names at quarterback in the 2018 NFL Draft. Both had high expectations coming into this season, in Mayfield’s case enormous. Both also started off their 2019 campaigns with a loss, in Mayfield’s case, again potentially enormous. Not only did they lose their highly anticipated new-look team’s home opener, but they got smacked in the mouth. Neither of these teams can afford to go 0-2 as the OBJ-Mayfield tandem make their national debut on Monday Night Football. Unfortunately, Darnold is slated to unexpectedly miss Monday’s game due to mono, likely giving the Browns and even larger edge in prime time.
