Sun vs. Storm WNBA Player Props (Friday)

There are only two WNBA games tonight. First, the Indiana Fever clash with the Atlanta Dream. What should we expect from Caitlin Clark and Brionna Jones in that contest? Then, the Seattle Storm and Connecticut Sun meet in a rematch from Wednesday night. Can Skylar Diggins continue to exploit her matchup with the worst team in the league? Here are the best WNBA player props and bets for Friday, July 11th’s game Sun vs. Storm.

Friday’s Best WNBA Player Props & Bets: Sun vs. Storm

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Skylar Diggins Over 17.5 Points (-104)

On Wednesday, Sylar Diggins dropped 23 points in 33 minutes, despite shooting just 1-of-5 from three-point range. The performance was well above her season average of 18.5 points, and right in line with the 23-point performance she put together against the Sun on June 27th. In that June meeting, Diggins was 8-of-14 from the field, her third-best shooting performance of the season.

While I could certainly see Diggins reverting to her average tonight, I don't understand why this total is set below her current season average. She has scored 18 or fewer points in three of her last four games, but two of those performances came against top-three defenses. The other was against the New York Liberty, who currently hold the third-best record in the league. The Storm should come out fired up after losing to the lowly Sun, and nothing suggests Diggins will struggle tonight.
