New Orleans Pelicans @ Atlanta Hawks
Both New Orleans and Atlanta are jockeying for position in their respective conference playoff pictures. The advanced stats love New Orleans, who sits as the fourth-ranked team by net rating in the league, although their record is only good enough for the fifth seed in the Western Conference. Their defense has been carrying them, but it's their offense that will shine in this game.
Atlanta has struggled on defense this season. They rank 29th in defensive rating and have an opponent eFG% and offensive rebounding rate that ranks near last in the league. New Orleans isn't elite, but they're better than league average in both of those categories. The Pelicans have the capability to slow Atlanta's offensive attack down while the Hawks will have a tough time stopping New Orleans.
The Pels have also been playing some of their best basketball recently. They're 12-4 SU and 9-7 ATS over their last 16. This game is a mismatch, and New Orleans has the advantage on both sides of the court. I like the Pelicans to cover.
Pick: Pelicans -5.5 (-165)

Nashville Predators @ Minnesota Wild
Nashville is having a better season than most expected, and that's why they became buyers at the trade deadline. They're playing very well, going 10-0-1 in their last 11, dominating the puck with a 55% expected goal share.
We'll see how that plays out against a great Minnesota defense. The blue line is especially tough, allowing the fewest high-danger shots. This will likely be Marc-Andre Fleury's night in the cage, and it's the smart move because Filip Gustavsson allowed six goals against the Preds in the last matchup. The veteran continues to put on a legendary career, and lately, he's shutting down offenses with a .921 save percentage in his last nine appearances.
Juuse Saros vs. Fleury is a goaltending matchup to be excited about. The Predators are in the second leg of a back-to-back and now have a tough defensive matchup, so look for Minnesota to grab a win.
Pick: Wild Moneyline (-148)

2024 Shriners Children’s 500
I've had Larson circled for Phoenix since news dropped this offseason that he was one of the drivers testing the new short-track package here. Despite learning that it might not change things too much, I'm still all-in on the Elk Grove, Calif., native.
The No. 5 car is coming off a flawless and dominating win at Las Vegas. To find him well into plus-money for a T5 and 6.5-1 for the outright was surprising.
Larson led 201 laps, finished stage one in second and won stage two in this race last year. He ultimately finished third but also finished fourth and ninth in the only other two races of the Next Gen Era here where he didn't blow an engine. Despite that P34 DNF, Larson is still fourth in the Phoenix Next Gen total speed rankings.
Barring a pit road hiccup, accident or mechanical failure, Larson will be towards the front of the pack all Sunday.
Bet: Kyle Larson Top-5 Finisher (+175)
