Best Super Bowl LVII Touchdown Picks

All odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook.

Chiefs First TD Scorer: Travis Kelce (TE) (+310)

Despite losing Tyreek Hill in the offseason, the Chiefs’ passing attack remained dominant because of Kelce. The superstar had 12 receiving touchdowns during the regular season, the most among tight ends and the second-most in the NFL. More importantly, he had the first Kansas City touchdown in 35.3% of the games during the regular season and both playoff matchups. Furthermore, Kelce leads the team with three receiving touchdowns during the postseason. Meanwhile, the Eagles haven’t faced a formidable offense in the playoffs. However, the first touchdown scored against them was by a tight end in two of their last four regular season games.

Eagles First TD Scorer: Jalen Hurts (QB) (+310)

Hurts is the only quarterback with double-digit rushing touchdowns in both of the past two seasons. This year he was second in the NFL with 13 rushing touchdowns despite missing two games with a shoulder injury, scoring five more times than any other quarterback. He led the team in rushing touchdowns, scoring once per 12.7 rushing attempts. More importantly, the superstar quarterback scored the first Philadelphia touchdown in 40% of his regular season games. Furthermore, Hurts has scored a rushing touchdown in both playoff games this year. Meanwhile, the Chiefs gave up four rushing touchdowns to quarterbacks during the regular season, the sixth-most in the NFL.

Anytime TD Scorer: Marquez Valdes-Scantling (WR – KC) (+230)

While the Chiefs got the win over the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship Game, it came at a cost. Multiple wide receivers got hurt in the game, as JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kadarius Toney, and Mecole Hardman left the contest. While Smith-Schuster and Toney are expected to play, Kansas City placed Hardman on injured reserve, ruling him out for the Super Bowl. With their wide receiving corps banged up, Valdes-Scantling will have to play a larger role on Sunday. More importantly, he is the only player besides Kelce to score a touchdown in the playoffs for the Chiefs, finding the end zone in both contests.

Anytime TD Scorer: Miles Sanders (RB – PHI) (-105)

Philadelphia led the NFL in many rushing categories this season, including touchdowns. The Eagles had an NFL-high 32 rushing touchdowns in 2022, setting a franchise record. While Hurts led the team with 13 rushing touchdowns, Sanders was right behind with 11 scores. Furthermore, the 11 rushing touchdowns were two more than his career total entering the year and the eighth-most in the NFL this season. More importantly, the veteran running back had two touchdowns on only 11 rushing attempts against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. Meanwhile, Kansas City has surrendered a rushing touchdown to a running back in both playoff matchups.
