TGL Golf Picks & Predictions: Best Bets for Monday (3/3)
TGL is a brand-new professional golf league that blends simulated and traditional golf within the SoFi Center facility on the campus of Palm Beach State College in Florida. Created by TMRW Sports, which is a venture between legendary golf stars Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, along with TMRW Sports CEO Mike McCarley, “Tomorrow’s Golf League” (TGL) has provided a ton of entertainment value since being introduced on Jan. 7, 2025.
Monday provides two TGL matchups. The first matchup, held at 3 p.m. ET, pits The Bay Golf Club against Los Angeles Golf Club. Afterward, at 7 p.m. ET, Boston Common Golf Club faces off against the New York Golf Club. Bay Golf Club is 4-0 and features golfers that include Ludvig Åberg, Wyndham Clark, Min Woo Lee, and Shane Lowry.
L.A. Golf Club is 3-0-1 and consists of Collin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala, Justin Rose, and Tommy Fleetwood. Boston Common Golf Club is 0-3-1 and led by Rory McIlroy, joined by teammates Hideki Matsuyama, Keegan Bradley, and Adam Scott. They’ll face the 1-2-1 New York Golf Club, whose roster includes Matt Fitzpatrick, Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele, and Cameron Young.

Winning Team
Bay Golf Club is undefeated through four events, but I expect their luck to run out on Monday afternoon. Their recent 6-3 win over Jupiter has positioned Bay Golf Club to clinch the No. 1 seed for the upcoming TGL playoffs with an outright win over Los Angeles. However, Bay Golf Club has narrowly avoided losses up to this point, including a 6-5 win over Atlanta Drive Golf Club and a clutch 5-4 win on the final hole against Boston Common Golf Club via Wyndham Clark’s 10-foot eagle putt.
Los Angeles has a ton of talent and will likely be the most formidable challenge Bay Golf Club has faced this season. Two of L.A.’s wins have been dominant, via a 12-1 rout of Jupiter Links Golf Club in their first matchup, plus a 6-2 win over Boston Common. Their lone loss was 6-5 against the Atlanta Drive in overtime, but Los Angeles bounced back with a massive comeback win in overtime, 5-4, over New York in their last match played last Monday.
Let’s bet a unit on Los Angeles as a slight favorite at -125 odds to play spoiler to Bay Golf Club, who have been on the right side of variance all season.
Pick: Los Angeles Golf Club (-125)
To Lead First
I anticipate Los Angeles will take the lead on the 1st hole played on Straight Up, which is a par 4 running 416 yards. L.A. has announced its roster will consist of Tommy Fleetwood, Collin Morikawa, and Sahith Theegala, who will face Min Woo Lee, Shane Lowry, and Wyndham Clark.
Two of Bay Golf Club’s players, Lee and Lowry, are competing at PGA National during the Cognizant Classic this weekend. I’ll give the edge to the more well-rested team, Los Angeles, who has elite ball-striking talent.
Let’s bet one more unit on L.A. Golf Club to take the lead first. I expect this will happen on either Hole 1 or the par 5 Hole 2 “Sterling”, on Monday afternoon.
Pick: Los Angeles Golf Club (-125)
Winning Team
I like the underdog in the second match, when the New York Golf Club goes up against the winless Boston Common Golf Club. New York should be playing with confidence after dominating Jupiter Links for their first win, followed by an overtime loss that should’ve been a second straight win against Los Angeles.
Cameron Young, Rickie Fowler, and Xander Schauffele will compete for New York, facing Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, and Adam Scott. Boston has one overtime loss and three regulation losses, with their last outing resulting in a 6-3 defeat against the Atlanta Drive.
Schauffele being on the tees makes me side with the underdog in this spot. Fowler and Young are great off-the-tee, with Fowler typically sticking approach shots, while Schauffele’s prowess around the greens will be the edge in this match.
Let’s bet a unit on New York Golf Club to record their second win and keep Boston winless at even odds.
Pick: New York Golf Club (+100)
