Minnesota Timberwolves (+152) at Los Angeles Lakers (-180) | O/U 216.5 (-110/-110)
The Timberwolves and Lakers tangle at Crpyto.com Arena in Game 1 in the ABC game at 8:30 p.m. ET.
Minnesota and L.A. split the regular-season series, with the home team going a perfect 4-0 both straight up and against the spread. The Under cashed in each of the four meetings, too.
These teams met most recently on Feb. 27 in Los Angeles, with the Lakers winning 111-102 as a 6-point favorite, coming nowhere close to threatening to go Over (229.5). Naz Reid was a dismal 1-of-10 shooting for just three points in that loss, although he did pull down 12 rebounds. Rookie Terrence Shannon Jr. surprised with 25 points off the bench for the T-Wolves, and he and Nickeil Alexander-Walker combined for 39 points as an unexpected dynamic duo.
In that home game against the Wolves, LeBron went for 33 points, 17 rebounds and six assists, as he continues to defy Father Time. Luka Doncic had 21 points and 13 rebounds, and there is a ton of anticipation seeing how far those two stars can take L.A. in this postseason. Minnesota will provide quite the obstacle in Round 1, however.
Minnesota won eight of the final nine in the regular season, while going 6-3 ATS. The Under cashed in five of the final six games, too.
For Los Angeles, it was just 7-7 SU in the final 14 games, while going 6-7-1 ATS in the span. The Under had a slight 3-2 edge in the final five of the regular season, as well.
We’ll take the Timberwolves with the points, and go low on the total for our Same-Game Parlay (SGP).
Picks: Timberwolves +4 (-108) & Under 216.5 Points (-110)
