NFL Week 15 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Titans vs. Chargers

This game seems like a classic overreaction to last weeks’ results. The Titans were beaten badly in their contest, struggling to find success through the air on offense, and struggling to defend the pass on defense. They’ll have to rely heavily on the running game in order to find success against the Chargers.

This bodes well for the Titans as the Chargers are one of the worst teams defensively against the run, ranking 25th in DVOA. Tennessee will need some players back from injury if they want a chance to cover here, notably WR Treylon Burks, in order to get the play action passing game going, really giving the offense a chance.

The Chargers looked impressive in their dismantling of Miami’s potent offense, but results before that showed a team that was struggling to tread water in the playoff race.

This contest means a lot for both squads and despite recent struggles, the Titans grade out the better team in DVOA. I lean towards the Titans but this is dependent on how the injury report shapes out.
