2026 Masters Picks & Predictions: Best Bets

Scottie Scheffler

Under normal circumstances, betting Scheffler to win at odds of around 4-1 would be a reasonable value proposition, even against such a sterling field. But in light of the recent hiccups in his performance, betting Scottie outright becomes less appealing. But betting Scottie for a top-five finish (including ties) at -104 makes sense.

Ludvig Aberg

Odds of +1750 to win seem just a little to short, but I like the idea of betting Aberg for a top five at +325.

Xander Schauffele

Perhaps because of his low-key demeanor, Schauffele sometimes flies under the radar in golf’s biggest events, even though he’s on the shortlist of the best players in the world. There’s batting value on Schauffele at +1850. And his top-five (+305) and top-10 (+138) odds as of this writing have some appeal, too.

Patrick Reed

Last year, Reed came into Augusta under the radar at longer odds. His odds are much shorter this year, and even though he’s been in good form, he doesn’t provide betting value with an outright. Taking Reed to finish top 10 (ties included) at +300 is a better way to go.

Justin Rose

I wish we were getting a slightly better number on Rose, but his strong showing in 2025 is still fresh in bettors’ minds. If Rose’s odds drift to 40-1 or longer, he’ll be worth an investment. Given Rose’s strong track record at Augusta, I also like his price for a top 20 (including ties) at +114.

Hideki Matsuyama

With odds of +3800 to win and +570 for a top five (including ties), Matsuyama offers solid betting value.

Jordan Spieth

Recent form suggests that Spieth probably isn’t capable of beating the big dogs this week to earn a second Green Jacket. But with his outstanding track record at Augusta, I like the pot odds on a top-five finish for Spieth at +650.

Nicolai Hojgaard

Although his Masters track record is sparse, Hojgaard has my attention. He’s recorded top 10s on a variety of course types this year, and his game seems like a good fit for Augusta National. I’m making a small bet on Hojgaard to win outright and also plan to bet him for a top 20 (ties included) at +186.

Harris English

The consummate grinder, English has a game that gives him a high floor and a limited ceiling. The tougher the scoring conditions this week, the more I’ll like English. If the forecast calls for dry, breezy conditions, I’ll be betting English for a top 20 and perhaps a top 10 as well. If soft conditions and negligible winds set up good scoring conditions, I won’t be backing English at all.

Corey Conners

This is an interesting case. Conners’ precise ballstriking is a major asset at Augusta National, which requires players to hit small targets in order to create birdie opportunities. But Conners’ mediocre short game can be a hindrance on a course that makes great demands of players on and around the greens. Although Conners hasn’t been in top form this year, his solid track record at Augusta suggests that wagering on Conners to finish top 10 (including ties) at +435 or top 20 at +172 makes sense.
