Top 2 NBA Player Prop Bets for Saturday, April 23 (2022)

Here’s a look at our favorite prop bets for today’s NBA Playoff games.

Rudy Gobert UNDER 29.5 POINTS, REBOUNDS & ASSISTS (-120)

Rudy Gobert has been outstanding on the defensive side of the ball for years. Despite that, he is well known for his postseason struggles. Teams are taking advantage of his inability to defend the perimeter. In game 3 of this series, Dallas upset Utah on the road. Quin Snyder benched Gobert for significant parts of the second half, and that was the time Utah made a run. He had a game-low -16 in +/- from the box score. Mavs are 2nd in points allowed, 6th in assists allowed, and 10th in rebounds allowed. Gobert has covered this line only one time in his last six games against this opponent and 0 in this series. I expect less than his average 33 minutes per game, and he will probably grab a considerable number of boards, but I don’t believe the points and assist will be enough to drag him over the line.

Danny Green OVER 8.5 POINTS (-105)

Danny Green saw his minutes decreasing slowly during the regular season – 22mpg overall for a classic 3-and-D guy, with almost all of his field-goal attempts coming from the perimeter. The key here is the absence of Matisse Thybulle, who is ineligible to play in Toronto due to Canada’s vaccine mandate. That pushed Green’s minutes a lot, and he played 46 minutes in the OT win in game 3. He had 9 points on 3 of 8 shooting. He has covered in 4 of 6 games this year when playing 33+ minutes, and in both misses, he finished with 8 points. Against Toronto, he is 3/3 this year when playing more than his average minutes. The narrative is also with him; as an ex-Raptor, he looked pumped in the last game, and the good thing is he will probably see minutes even in a blowout. I may ladder his 3PTM, and you can take over 2.5 straight for plus money, but I’m not sure it’s worth it.
