Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (11/23)

Lines are definitely getting tighter nearly two full months into the season, as we finish Monday with a pedestrian 1-2 record on the day. Following a quiet Tuesday slate, the NBA is back with a full one on Wednesday before a day off across the league for Thanksgiving day.

Let’s take a closer look at the three spots I’m dialed in on.

YTD Record: 25-18-2 ATS

1. 76ers +4 -110 at DK Sportsbook

Despite not having Joel Embiid in the lineup Tuesday night vs. a fully healthy Brooklyn squad, the 76ers won outright as 8-point underdogs behind a 115-point performance. Immediately following the game, they hopped on a plane for Charlotte, where they’ll take on a Hornets team who hasn’t played since Sunday.

The break was seemingly much needed for the Hornets, who have now lost nine out of their past 10 games as they plummeted down the Eastern Conference standings. With LaMello Ball out of the lineup once again in this one, I don’t think the rest is enough to make a difference.

Despite the quick turnaround, look for a much better 76ers team to keep this one close out before heading into a two-day break of their own.

2. Timberwolves -2 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

In what many expected to be a rebuilding year, the Pacers are over-achieving by all accounts. Coming into this one with a record of 10-6, they have now won four straight games and eight of their last 10, covering the spread in nine of those contests.

I do think the market has overcorrected here, however, as they now draw a Timberwolves team also beginning to hit their stride. Winners of four straight of their own, Minnesota is starting to get healthy as their offense continues to improve in the process.

With the edge at nearly every starting position and the bench, I like for Minnesota to improve their winning streak to five games before heading into the mini-break.

3. Raptors -2 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

Following an impressive 127-115 win over the Grizzlies last week, many thought the return of Kyrie Irving would be the spark this Nets team so desperately needed. That thought was quickly brought down to (non-flat) earth on Tuesday, losing 115-106 to the Embiid-less 76ers, doing so as 8-point favorites.

The task should get even tougher tonight, heading to Toronto to face one of the best home teams in the league, eager to get back on track following an overtime loss at Atlanta on Monday. With Gary Trent Jr. expected in the lineup following a hip injury, I like for the Raptors to have enough to get this one done at home, where they are 6-1 on the season.
