Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (11/9)

Following another 2-1 ATS day on Monday, the NBA was off on Tuesday as the league honors Election Day across the United States. Wednesday, however, offers a full slate, as 26 teams are in action across the league.

Let’s take a closer look at three spots I’m on for this evening.

YTD Record: 17-9-1 ATS

Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday

1. Hawks -4.5 -110 at DK Sportsbook

One of the biggest surprises of the 2022-23 NBA season thus far has been the Jazz, who come into this matchup 9-3, covering all nine games against the spread. Further, almost all of those wins have come as underdogs, as the market has yet to adjust to this Jazz team.

The Hawks picked up their biggest win of the season on Monday, knocking off the previously undefeated Bucks 117-98 at home for their third straight win. I’ve said from the start, once Murray starts clicking with this offense, the Hawks are going to be a real problem which is what we’re starting to see.

Now averaging 116.5 points per game, I think we see the defense buckle down here in November and bring the Jazz back to earth in this one.

2. Bucks -7.5 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

The OKC Thunder are a young team still in the midst of a rebuild, so losses this season were never not realistic. How they’ve been losing as of late is what’s most concerning, losing three straight and failing to cover by a combined 25 points in the process. Now, for the second time this week, they’ll face the Bucks this time in Oklahoma City.

The Bucks, on the other hand, come into this game following their first loss of the season scoring just 98 points on the road in Atlanta. An established middle-of-the-pack offense at this point in the season, the real surprise was the defense that gave up 118 points; well above the league-leading 102.7 points per game they are averaging.

Look for the Bucks’ defense to buckle down in this one, as they pull away early and never look back.

3. Clippers -4.5 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

After back-to-back wins last week, things finally appeared to start clicking for this Lakers team, even if there was still plenty of work left to do. Since then, they’ve now lost three straight, with two losses to Utah in which they gave up a combined 269 points. Now bottom four in the league in points per game, FG%, and 3PT%, the Lakers have no offense to speak of in addition to playing increasingly bad defense on a nightly basis.

For the Clippers, a slow start has been followed up with four wins in five games, as their lone loss also came against that Utah team. Look for a similar result here as the Clippers remain the best team in LA; even in a down year for both.
