Top 3 NBA Betting Picks for Thursday, February 10th (2022)

After a shallow Wednesday night slate, the NBA on TNT returns to its normal time slot this evening to host two of the eight scheduled contests. Headlining all the action is a potential NBA Finals preview as the Bucks visit the Suns.

Let’s take a look at three spots I’ve keyed in on.

1. Nets +2.5 -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

The Nets have been terrible as of late. But have they been Washington terrible? I’m not so sure. Since beating the 76ers in mid-January in a game that felt like could be a turning point, the Wizards have lost seven of eight and lost leading scorer Bradley Beal for the season.

For the visiting Nets, a record of 2-10 since losing Kevin Durant for 6+ weeks has sent them tumbling down the Eastern Conference standings, and they’ll now be without James Harden for this one. Tonight in Washington, however, I think we see an elevated game from Kyrie Irving as the Nets finally get back in the win column for the first time since January 21st.

2. Warriors -10 |  -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

While his production hadn’t been eye-popping since returning from ACL and Achilles injuries and a 2+ year layoff, the Warriors missed Klay Thompson last night. Taking a night off while he still is on a minutes restriction, the Thompson-less Warriors got blown out 111-85 on the road at Utah.

For the Knicks, a five-game West Coast swing has gone about as well as their homestands have been going, having lost the first three by an average of 11 points per game. I like for the Warriors to get back on track in this one and run the Knicks out of the Chase Center early on.

 3. Knicks-Warriors Over 217 | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Following a season-high 29 minutes on Monday, Thompson’s time on the court is going up with each game, and I expect him to break the 30-minute mark in this one. That’s good news for the Warriors’ scoring efforts, as the former All-Star is starting to look more and more confident with each and every shot.

As for the Knicks, despite the lack of success on this West Coast swing, they have been averaging 111.3 points per game, a full seven points above their season average. Look for both teams to put up points tonight and for this total to eclipse 217.
