Top 3 NBA Betting Picks for Thursday, January 13th (2022)

A heavy slate on Wednesday has transitioned to a lighter slate on Thursday as just 10 teams are in action in the Association. With Warriors/Bucks and Trail Blazers/Nuggets the two National televised games, let’s take a look and see where the value remains.

1. Bucks -1.5 -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

In what could very well end up being a preview of the NBA Finals, the Warriors will head to Milwaukee tonight for what should be a great game against the Bucks. Both of these teams come into this one on a bit of a slide, as the Bucks dropped two straight vs. the Hornets and four of their last five.

For the visiting Warriors, three losses in their last four haven’t been the welcoming party Klay Thompson has expected, as Draymond Green continues to miss time with a calf injury. In this one, with Green out again and Thompson still on a minute restriction, I expect the Bucks to come out firing and get a statement victory in front of their home fans.

2. Grizzlies -4.5 |  -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Both the Timberwolves and Grizzlies come into this one hot, but the Grizzlies are a team on fire. Entering tonight on the heels of a franchise-record 10 game win streak, Ja Morant has started to separate himself as one of the best players in the league.

For the Timberwolves, it’s been a total team effort as Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russel are leading a young nucleus that is surprising a lot of people and has won four of their last five. With three of those wins coming against the Thunder and Rockets, however, look for the elevated level of competition to be too much to handle and for the Grizz to stay hot.

 3. Thunder-Nets Under 218.5 | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

We got burned on the Net’s under last night vs. Chicago, but we’re going straight back to it tonight now at home vs. the Thunder. As of tonight, the Thunder are the worst offensive team in the league averaging a league-worst 100 points and an FG% of 41.5% per game.

On the second of a back-to-back, not only will Kyrie Irving not be available with this game in Brooklyn, but expect to see some starters get rest late in a game they should be in control of come the 4th quarter. In fact, head coach Steve Nash was non-committal on if Kevin Durant would even suit up for this one.
