Top 3 NBA Betting Picks for Thursday, November 18th (2021)

After 11 games on Wednesday, six are on tap tonight as many teams who played last night are in action yet again this evening. With back-to-backs always difficult to predict with energy levels varying, let’s look at three teams who should be coming into tonight’s game with fresh legs.

1. Spurs +2 -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

After a start that had many believing the newly built Timberwolves could be a contender this season in the West, the team has promptly gone 2-8 (3-7 ATS) over their last 10 games. While their defense has kept them in a lot of games, their offense has struggled mightily, as they come into tonight second to last in the league in FG% at 41% and scoring just 103.9 points per game.

The visiting Spurs have also struggled as of late, losing four of their last five and seven of their last 10 games. For coach Pop, this is the youngest team he’s had in quite some time, and the growing pains were inevitable and the schedule unkind.

In this one, I like for the Spurs to bounce back from a tough loss in LA on Tuesday, and to do enough to get the job done against an equal foe in the Timberwolves.

2. Nuggets -8 |  -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

A lack of Joel Embiid and Matisse Thybulle has been killer for the 76ers, who enter Thursday night losers of five straight and unable to stop much of anything on defense, giving up no less than 115 points for their last five. In fact, their 42 rebounds per game have brought them dead last in the league.

Licking his chops at those numbers, the Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon lead one of the best frontcourts and basketball, who has been on fire this month, going 7-3 over their last 10 including covering four of their last five.

In this one, look for the frontcourt advantage to be too big for the 76ers to overcome, as a rested Nuggets team should control the glass from start to finish.

 3. Raptors +9| -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Another dominating frontcourt will be licking their chops tonight when Rudy Gobert and the Jazz welcome in the Toronto Raptors to town. Losers of five of their last six, the Raptors have been getting dominated on the boards as well, giving up an average of 114 points per game over their last three.

In this one, I expect Gobert to feast and take advantage of the less physical Pascal Siakam on the block and beyond.
