Top 3 NBA Betting Picks for Thursday, October 28th (2021)

With 4-5 games completed for most teams, identities are starting to form as new players continue to build chemistry with one another. Also this year, there are seven brand new head coaches who still trying to garner their team’s respect; which they’ll need to do quickly.

Let’s take a closer look at tonight’s slate and see where we can find some value.

1. Hawks -2 | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

In what will be the first back-to-back of the season for both teams, both the Hawks and the Wizards were on the road last night before arriving in the nation’s Capitol just after midnight. For the Hawks, De’Andre Hunter returned from illness to give the team 13 points they needed narrowly avoiding defeat 102-99.

For the Wiz, an impressive 116-107 was Wednesday’s result as Bradley Beal played better than Monday but new acquisition Montrezl Harrell led all scorers with 25 points (and 11 rebounds) and made the difference in this one.

Unfortunately for the Wiz in this one, they’ll be without center Daniel Gafford who suffered a knee injury Wednesday, which spells bad news for the Hawks one-two punch of Hunter and John Collins.

2. Knicks +1.5 | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Coming into this one with their first 4-0 start since 96′, the Bulls are feeling themselves just one week into the season. New acquisition DeMar DeRozan is making a difference already, as he is averaging 22.5 points per game including 26 vs. his former Raptors on Monday.

For the Knicks, 3-1, a primetime slot on Tuesday marked a big win over the 76ers, as Kemba Walker led all scorers with 19. Coming into this one, Walker and his swingman Evan Fournier are powering the #2 offense in the league as they are averaging 118.8 points per game.

In this one, I like for the Knicks to stay hot against a wounded Bulls team who will try to move forward with Zach LaVine and his injured thumb.

 3. Warriors -6 | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

The Warriors will put their undefeated record on the line tonight as they welcome the Memphis Grizzlies led by emerging superstar Ja Morant who is averaging 30.5 points per game.

In what will be a revenge spot for the warriors following the NBA play-in tournament game last season, Steph Curry will be trying to repeat his 46 point performance in that contest.

While Morant has been stellar, the Grizzlies are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA and come into this one the second night of a back-to-back having just played in Portland last night.

I like for the rested Warriors to take advantage and get their revenge in spades
