Top 3 NBA Betting Picks for Tuesday, January 4th (2022)
After a profitable Monday, I’m back with some more NBA props. Instead of focusing on a single player as I did yesterday, I’m honing in on a specific team that’s riddled with injury and COVID-related absences.
Here are my top NBA betting picks for Tuesday’s action.

1. Justin Holiday o13.5 Points | +100 at DK Sportsbook

I like Justin Holiday here a lot. The Pacers basically don’t have a backcourt now that Malcolm Brogdon, Chris Duarte, and Caris LeVert are all in the health and safety protocols. That’s forced them to add veteran Lance Stephenson and give Holiday some extra volume. In Indiana’s most recent game, which they also basically played without a backcourt, Holiday finished with 18 points and three rebounds in 37 minutes of action.
Holiday has averaged 12.6 points per game since re-entering the starting lineup on December 16th. He has gone over this number in three of those seven appearances, including his two most recent ones. As for rebounds, Holiday has finished with at least two in all but five games this season, although he averages just 2.9.
We’re also targeting Holiday because the Knicks struggle against threes, the spot where Indiana typically features Holiday. New York has allowed the eighth-most points and second-most made threes to opposing small forwards over their last seven games. Though they have limited the position to the 12th-fewest rebounds over that span, their depleted frontcourt and the absence of key rebounders will leave more boards to go around than usual.
3. Myles Turner u13.5 PTS | +100 at DK Sportsbook
Turner has had two of his best and one of his worst showings of this season against the Knicks. He scored 25 and 22 points against them in Indiana but went for a measly 3 points in the Big Apple. With these teams once again playing in Madison Square Garden, I’m fading Turner despite both teams’ surplus of injuries.
There’s a bit more method to the madness than that, though. While New York’s absences should leave the paint more open for Turner than usual, most of his points against them (66%, to be exact) came from beyond the arc. A smaller Knicks lineup could be harder for Turner to exploit on the perimeter, so his smooth three-point shot may not be as helpful tonight.
Also, despite Indiana’s injuries, Turner hasn’t started scoring a whole lot more than he usually does, but the books have increased his total anyway — the big man has stayed under this number in his last two games.
