Top 3 NBA Betting Picks for Wednesday, August 19
After a bloodbath of a Monday in which the favorites went 4-0 ATS, we’ll call Tuesday “Revenge of the Sportsbooksâ€. The conference’s top seeds both lost outright, spoiling just about every public parlay in existence and making up for a bettor-friendly playoff-opening slate in which the four faves won by an average of 12.5 points.

Pascal Siakam Double Double/Toronto Win (+235)
A Toronto victory feels like the likely outcome Wednesday, with the Raptors favored by double-digits against a seventh-seeded Nets team without Kyrie Irving. But I’m tacking on a Siakam double double for a little extra profit potential. Siakam has just 13 double doubles on the season, but he averaged a healthy 8.3 boards in three regular-season meetings with Brooklyn and added 11 in Game 1. And Toronto is 11-2 SU when Siakam records a double double.
Kemba Walker Over 20.5 Points (-128)
This one might be hard for some bettors to swallow. For one, Walker hasn’t scored more than 19 points in a game since entering the Orlando bubble, and is just 2-of-14 from beyond the arc over his previous three games. But the Celtics will be without standout forward Gordon Hayward for the next four weeks with an ankle injury – and with Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum already seeing plenty of usage, look for Walker to take more shots in Game 2.
Dallas Mavericks Over 112.5 Points (-106)
What a difference an ejection can make. The Mavericks were rolling offensively heading into the second half of Game 1 against the Clippers, scoring 69 first-half points and looking good in the process. But the team fell apart after big man Kristaps Porzingis was given a questionable heave-ho early in the third quarter, managing just 41 second-half points. Porzingis is questionable with a knee injury but expected to go; if he does, this team total is just too low.
