1. Rockets +10.5 | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook
Two of the hottest ATS teams in the league will go at it tonight in Cleveland as the red hot Rockets take their 9-1 ATS run into Cleveland. The only hotter ATS team over their last 10 is the Cavs, who come into this one a staggering 10-0 ATS over their last 10.
For the home Cavs, a stifling defense has been the catalyst, as they come into this one with the #2 unit in the league allowing just 101.9 points per game. Points haven’t been a problem for the Rockets as of late, scoring 114 or more in seven of their last 10.
Look for the Rockets to keep this one close tonight.
2. Grizzlies +1 | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook
Call it rallying around the cause, but the Grizzlies have looked like a completely different team with Ja Morant off the court. Winner of nine of 10 since Morant was sidelined with a knee injury, the Grizzlies have played them all the way to #4 in the Western Conference standings.
On the other hand, the Trail Blazers haven’t faired as well in the absence of CJ McCollum. Over their last 10, the Trail Blazers have lost nine, including six straight.
I expect both trajectories to continue tonight in the second of a back-to-back for Portland.
3. Wizards PK | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook
After a red hot start that saw the Wiz at the top of the standings in early November, a four of six-game slide currently has them hanging on for dear life in the #7 spot. -Having last played on Monday in Denver (107-113 loss), the Wizards continue their West Coast swing tonight in Sacramento against another struggling team as of late.
Coming into this one having lost three straight, all on the road, the Kings return home looking to get back on track. A large part of the Wizard’s struggles has come from a lack of big man presence with Thomas Bryant and Rui Hachimura out.
That shouldn’t be as big of an issue in this one, and I like for the more talented Wizards to roll.
