Top 3 NBA Betting Picks for Wednesday, February 2nd (2022)

It’s hump day and the NBA is roaring on with less than half of the season left for teams jockeying for positioning. Denver and Utah will headline the action tonight, as both teams look to get hot down the stretch and finish in the top half of the Western Conference standings.

Let’s take a closer look at the board and see where the value lies.

1. Cavaliers -4.5 -115 at DraftKings Sportsbook

This line started at Cavaliers -5 and came down after the confirmation Darius Garland would be out of the lineup once again tonight, but I’m not biting. With Garland out of the lineup on Monday, the Cavaliers did what they typically do; ground it out (93-90 vs. Pelicans).

For the home Rockets, another losing streak has started. This time four games, as they’ve scored just 106 points per game during this stretch. I’d still play this one all the way up to -6 and so am grabbing this number while it lasts.

2. Nets -4 |  -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

On the heels of a season-worst five-game losing streak, the Nets must be asking themselves; when does it end? I think tonight.

Facing a brutal stretch of Denver-Golden State-Phoenix, the Nets now head to Sacramento for the third game in a five-game road trip. Last night at the Suns, Kyrie Irving and James Harden both got their buckets (20+) but had little in the way of help around them.

As for the home Kings, a seven-game losing streak is at hand, as they return home from a five-game road trip during which they averaged just 100.6 points per game. Look for Brooklyn to get back on track tonight.

 3. Magic-Pacers Under 223 | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

A battle of young upstarts will go off tonight in Indiana, as both teams come into this one in the midst of a rebuild with plenty of promise. Having lost last night in Chicago, the Magic are not just on tired legs but as one of the worst offensive efficiency-rated teams in the league at just 101.2 and averaging just 102.8 points per game.

As for the Pacers, with leading scorer Domantas Sabonis having entered league COVID protocols Monday and likely out for this one, look for points to also come at a premium.
