Week two of the 2021-22 NBA season is off and running as teams approach the 10 game mark, and their identities start to form for the long haul. While a couple of teams have emerged as potentially great, most remain somewhere in the middle with the next few weeks likely to paint the picture.

1. Wizards -3 | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook
In what will be a rematch from these two teams’ season opener, the Raptors hit the road for this one to our Nation’s Capitol to finish a three-game road trip tonight. While the Wiz got the best of them in the opener, winning 98-83, the Raptors have won four straight in Washington coming into tonight.
Having last seen the court Monday at home vs. the Hawks, I think we see a concerted effort here from the Wiz to get back on track and clean up the turnovers that cost them the game on Monday.
2. Grizzlies -1.5 | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook
Averaging 28.3 points per game, the Grizzlies Ja Morant is quietly becoming one of the best players in the league before our very eyes. Against the Nuggets on Monday, Morant led all scorers with 26 points, as the Grizzlies took the game 106-97.
In what will be a rematch of that game, I like for the young star to find his spots once again and for the Grizz to continue to roll against a Nuggets team still searching for a post-Jamal Murray identity.
3. Mavericks +1.5 | -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook
In what was one of the worst defensive efforts of the past few years for the Spurs, a 118-131 loss at Indiana on Monday, a bounce-back is badly needed here. Dejounte Murray led all Spurs scorers with 16 points but failed to score in the second half as the Spurs were also without scorer Doug McDermott.
For the Mavericks, the second of a back-to-back will happen tonight as they lost to the visiting Miami Heat yesterday. In the loss, Luka Doncic dropped 33 points as the All-Star appears to be heating up on the season.
In this one, I like the return of Trey Burke for the Mavs to be the difference and for them to get the win outright.
