Thursday's Best WNBA Picks & Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Las Vegas Aces (-4.5) vs. Indiana Fever (+152) | O/U 162.5 (-110/-110)

This is certainly a winnable game for Las Vegas. If A'ja Wilson gets hot like she did against Phoenix (26 points, 18 rebounds, seven assists), the Aces are tough to beat. Yes, even though they have the No. 9-ranked offense (80.9 points per game) and defense (82 points per game allowed).

However, Indiana will be on a high coming into this game after winning the Commissioner's Cup final. While there is a chance they experience a letdown after such a big, dominant win, there is also a chance they use the defense that controlled Napheesa Collier to keep Wilson in check.

When these two played on June 22nd, the Aces got the win, 89-81. But the Fever will not have a meltdown like they did in the fourth quarter of that game in this one.

Pick: Fever Moneyline (+152)

Los Angeles Sparks (+10.5) vs. New York Liberty (-600) | O/U 171 (-110/-110)

A double-digit spread here just doesn't make sense.  Yes, the Sparks are one of the lower-end teams in the league this year, but they still have one of the better scoring duos in Kelsey Plum and Dearica Hamby. They haven't played good defense in the last couple of weeks, but neither has New York. Since June 11th, the Sparks are allowing 90.6 points per game and the Liberty are allowing 90.7 per game.

With Jonquel Jones out and Sabrina Ionescu having more off days than on, it is hard to have faith in New York. Taking Los Angeles to win outright is not a foolish idea (+420). But they will not lose by double digits.

Pick: Sparks +10.5 (-108)

Phoenix Mercury (-12) vs. Dallas Wings (+490) | O/U 166.5 (-112/-108)

Phoenix was on a roll with six wins in a row before falling to the Las Vegas Aces. After a 1-11 start to the season, the Wings have won four of their last six to improve to 5-13. The Mercury has been getting it done on both ends of the court, going back to the start of the streak (June 11th), scoring 90.7 points per game while allowing 81 points per game. In that same timeframe, Dallas has averaged 81.4 points per game while allowing 80.8 points per game.

Phoenix should win this game, but Dallas is playing well enough to keep it interesting. They lost by 13 to the Mercury last time, but will not lose by double digits. This will be a more competitive game than that.

Pick: Dallas +12 (-108)
