Monday’s Top 5 NBA Picks

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Washington Wizards Moneyline (-108)

The Wizards have seven wins on the season, with two of them coming against the Charlotte Hornets. Washington broke their brutal 16-game losing streak on Saturday, besting the Timberwolves by two points.
Charlotte is dealing with a litany of injuries, resulting in a current four-game losing streak. All four losses have occurred on the Hornets home floor, including a 21-point loss to the Brooklyn Nets last Wednesday.
We wouldn't normally advocate for a team that only recorded one win in the month of January. Having said that, the Hornets appear to currently be the worse off of the two teams. The Wizards won by 11 points in their last meeting. Since the spread is so close, it's best to take Washington on the moneyline.

Damian Lillard Over 4.5 Rebounds (+110)

Damian Lillard is averaging 4.5 boards on the season, and although he has currently played three straight games falling short of five rebounds, the plus action on this selection may be too tempting to pass up.
Oklahoma City is surrendering the most rebounds to the point guard position on the season with 7.28 boards per contest. Before the last three games, Lillard recorded at least five rebounds or more in seven of eight contests.
Dame has pulled down 10 rebounds in two games over the last six games. The Milwaukee guard records an additional .04 rebounds when playing on the road this season.
Lillard missed this total when these two teams faced off on December 17 in a 16-point blowout win. If the game can stay a little closer this time around, Dame should be in line to grab at least five rebounds tonight.

Minnesota Timberwolves -4.5 (-110)

After trading arguably their best player, the Kings could be in for a tough night on the road against the Timberwolves. Minnesota has had their own complications recently, most notably ending Washington’s 16-game skid.
Both teams have drastically altered the future of their organizations this season via trade, and it will be interesting to see what happens in the upcoming week. As for tonight, the loss of De'Aaron Fox may be a little too fresh for Sacramento to overcome.
Minnesota was on a five-game win streak before falling to Washington on Saturday. The Timberwolves have won their last two games at home, and four out of the last five contests overall. Sacramento has one win on their current five-game road trip, with two losses by 20 points or more.
This is the last contest on the current road trip for the Kings. It wouldn't be a shock if Sacramento has their sites set on getting back home and starting anew with Zach LaVine.

San Antonio Spurs at Memphis Grizzlies – Over 241.5 Total Points (-110)

History is the main catalyst for this selection between the Spurs and Grizzlies. These two teams have met twice this season, resulting in both contests exceeding 241.5 points.
Memphis is covering the Over 65.3% of the time, while San Antonio has covered 54.4% of the time this season. The Spurs have a 55% success rate in regards to the Over when playing on the road.
The Grizzlies score the most points per game of any other team with 123.4 each contest. Memphis also boasts the sixth-highest effective field goal percentage. The Spurs are averaging 116.6 over their last 10 games, including two contests with 140 points or more.

Portland Trail Blazers – Over 112.5 Team Total Points (-115)

We end the evening in Portland, where the Trail Blazers look to improve to four wins in a row, and seven in the last eight games played. Portland matches up against Phoenix for the second time in as many games. The Trail Blazers scored 127 points against the Suns on Saturday.
Portland has scored at least 113 points or more in all three games during their current win streak. Phoenix is allowing 113.8 points per game on 46.3% shooting from the field. Over the last 10 games, the Suns are conceding 114.2 points each contest on 48.7% shooting.
The Trail Blazers knock down an extra 2% of their field-goal attempts when playing at home. Portland appears to be in a great spot to repeat their scoring performance from Saturday, and clear 112.5 points tonight.
