Seattle Storm at Toronto Tempo
Toronto was bestowed the team name Tempo. Unfortunately, the first contest in Toronto left much to be desired in terms of tempo, and this could be a consistent theme for the season. The Tempo is somewhat short on high-volume scoring options, which will impact the game’s total points.
Toronto scored 66 points in its first game of the 2026 season against Washington. Defensively, the Tempo held the Mystics to only 68 points on 39% shooting from the field and 21% from beyond the arc. Toronto connected on 27% of field goals and 20% from deep.
Marina Mabrey scored 27 of the 66 points for the Tempo, and Brittney Sykes chipped in 14 points. No other player scored more than eight points - including five players with three points or fewer.
The Storm are averaging 84.5 points per game over two contests. While that certainly picks up the scoring, it's simply not enough to cover almost 170 points. Toronto is not a very high-powered offense, and the team seems quite capable of limiting the opposition's efficiency, both below and above the perimeter.
Pick: Under 167.5 Points (-110)
Las Vegas Aces @ Connecticut Sun
Unfortunately, the return on this selection decreased from earlier in the day. Neither option for the race to 25 points in the fourth quarter is likely to remain popular. You may want to consider getting to the window early on this one in case it dips even further.
The Aces are 14-point favorites going into this contest. This should have a major impact on fourth-quarter scoring. The Aces could elect to sit their starters if they are in front with a sizable lead after three quarters of play.
The Connecticut Sun are averaging 18 points in the fourth quarter over two games. Connecticut has not scored 25+ points in the fourth quarter through two contests. You can take the Aces for the race to 25 points if you're looking to add an extra leg to a parlay. However, we feel the Aces won't need the excess scoring if they are up by 15+ points heading into the final 10 minutes.
Pick: Race to 25 Points - 4th Quarter: Neither (-105)
Chicago Sky at Golden State Valkyries
This selection makes up our largest return of the evening. A matchup against the Valkyries at home is certainly a tough one for any team. Having said that, Chicago is loaded with talent and looks comfortable in games at either a faster or slower pace. Chicago has also shown to be quite productive on the boards. The Sky are averaging 46 rebounds per game (first in the league).
The Sky won their first road game of the season. Chicago scored 98 points on 47.8% shooting from the field. The Sky knocked down six three-pointers on 35.3% shooting. Chicago taking 17 three-pointers makes quite the statement. The Sky will more than likely need to connect on 10+ baskets from deep to keep them in this fight.
The Valkyries are not shy to let the shots above the perimeter fly by any means. The Sky will have to put the clamps on Golden State’s three-point shooting. Chicago has the talent, size and scoring to upset the Valkyries on the road, and we feel they do so for a +195 return.
Pick: Sky Moneyline (+195)
Indiana Fever at Los Angeles Sparks
The Fever and Sparks face off in a battle to see which team will claim their first victory of the 2026 WNBA season. The Sparks couldn't match the intensity of the Aces in their first matchup, as they endured a 26-point shellacking. Their opponent tonight does not get any easier. Indiana fell just short in its first contest and will look to leave Los Angeles 1-1.
Something appears to be off with the Los Angeles Sparks, if we may be so bold. Coach Lynne Roberts openly stated that Cameron Brink needs to contribute more on the floor, despite playing only eight minutes. Having played exactly one game this year, it's just a strange statement to make. One that speaks to a possible lapse in team chemistry and cohesion.
The Fever scored over 100 points against the Wings, and will no doubt have their sights set on running up the scoreboard once again tonight in Los Angeles. Indiana gets the edge in depth, scoring prowess and unity. If the Fever can figure out the defensive mistakes that led to their first loss, the team should be able to win this contest.
Pick: Fever Moneyline (-125)
Indiana Fever at Los Angeles Sparks
It seems that Los Angeles already has some issues to work through. One aspect of the team that has not been impacted is Kelsey Plum’s scoring. The veteran guard dropped 27 points on her former team in the Sparks’ opening contest.
Caitlin Clark is seemingly dealing with back discomfort - the star sharp-shooter needed to leave the court on two occasions against Dallas. If that situation continues, it's more than reasonable to believe Clark's shot would be impacted - at least to some degree. Clark's offense is directly tied to shooting from long distance.
We are going to side with the player who will not be limited due to an ailment. Suppose Clark is dealing with back pain. Any other information is known by the Fever Medical staff. The young guard could be in agonizing pain for all we know. The logic suggests hitching our wagon to the player who has already scored 27 points in what should be a fast-paced contest.
Pick: Kelsey Plum vs. Caitlin Clark H2H Points: Kelsey Plum (+110)
