Sunday’s Best WNBA Player Prop Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Aliyah Boston Over 13.5 Points (-115)
Indiana appears to have made some adjustments choosing to run their offense primarily through Aliyah Boston, resulting in two victories in their last three games.
Throughout those three contests, the Fever forward is averaging 17 points on 45% shooting, while taking 14 shots per game.
Chicago concedes over 38 points in the paint per game, as well as the most second-chance baskets across the league at 15.1. They also allow the third most free throws to opponents per contest (16.3).
The last time these two teams faced off, Boston only scored 10 points on 14 attempts. However, the recent confidence could certainly play a part in improving the field-goal efficiency from the last meeting. Two more baskets from the prior performance and we are in the clear.
The first selection of the 2023 WNBA draft is back to the kind of play that earned her the Rookie of the Year Award. We love to see it and look forward to a big game here.
Angel Reese Over 10.5 Rebounds (-115)
This total rose after four straight games of 9.5 rebounds or more. The opponent will play a more pronounced role going forward, and the Fever is certainly a team you can attack on the boards.
Indiana gives up the fourth-most defensive rebounds in the league, while the Sky own the highest percentage of rebounds per game with 64.9%.
The rookie forward ranks third in defensive rebound percentage per game amongst active players at 36%, leads the league in offensive rebounds with 30% and has gathered the most offensive rebounds to date with 55.
Chicago recently lost Elizabeth Williams for the season with a torn meniscus. This has resulted in more playing for two rebounding forwards in Kamilla Cardoso and Michelle Oyumere. However, Angel Reese leads the team in boards, averaging 11.8 over the last six games.
Tina Charles Over 11.5 Points (-130)
The veteran forward for Atlanta took full advantage of a somewhat suspect interior Sparks defense in their previous matchup. Tina Charles scored 22 points on 64% shooting, even knocking down a three-pointer.
Granted, the 32 minutes played may not be repeated, but Los Angeles’ defensive front hasn't changed much, so the efficiency should be there in this contest.
The Sparks own a defensive rating in the bottom five in the league, as well as in opposing second-chance points. They allow over 35 points in the paint per game. Charles scores over 50% of her points in the paint per game.
The experience the Atlanta forward possesses will always give her an advantage over a defense that is young, hasn't built a strong chemistry and has trouble picking up fouls.
Rhyne Howard Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (+100)
On to the wild card play of the day with a player we recently wrote about after only hitting one three-pointer in 19 attempts.
It appears our article inspired the Atlanta guard because since then she has connected on 13 shots from beyond the arc in four games. This includes 10 over the last two contests.
Opponents are knocking down over eight three-pointers per game against Los Angeles while shooting 35.1% and taking 23.0 attempts. The Sparks also rank fourth in opposing field-goal efficiency at 49.7%.
No one would blame those who choose to take the safer route, going for the total points at 16.5. However, Rhyne Howard has been shooting too hot from deep to not take a chance on a plus selection against one of the poorer defenses in the league.
Skylar Diggins-Smith Over 17.5 Points (-115)
Let the second act in this revenge narrative begin!
The end of Skylar Diggins-Smith’s tenure in Phoenix has been highly publicized, with many reports presenting a less than amicable parting between the two sides.
In their first meeting, the Seattle guard did not have the best shooting performance; only knocking down 4-of-11 attempts. She still managed 17 points and helped the Storm secure an 18-point victory.
Diggins-Smith is coming off back-to-back contests of scoring 19+ points while shooting 50% from the field and dropping seven three-pointers.
Phoenix gives up the third-most points in the WNBA, allow the most three-pointers made per game with 9.9 and the second-highest amount of points off turnovers.
This total is over 2.5 points higher than the season average for the Seattle guard. Yet, the recent play, lackluster defense of the opponent and bad blood give us confidence she clears the 17.5 points line.
Enjoy the games today and good luck with your picks.
