Saturday’s Best WNBA Player Prop Bets
(Odds Courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Chelsea Gray 12+ Points (-115)
Chelsea Gray was certainly not at her best last season. The veteran guard out of Duke played a career-low 27 games in 2024 and recorded the lowest average in points, rebounds and assists since 2016. The foot injury sustained in the 2023 WNBA Finals seems to be a thing of the past, as the 32-year-old has looked spry in both the Unrivaled League and in two WNBA preseason contests.
Gray played an average of 22 minutes in the two contests before the Aces kick things off in a championship rematch today against the Liberty. The Las Vegas guard scored 23 points in the two preseason games, while shooting 52% from the field on 17 attempts.
Gray ranked third in scoring during the inaugural Unrivaled League, averaging 21.4 points per game. The crafty playmaker is not taking a passive approach this season. The Aces guard is free from injury, taking more shots and connected on over 50% of attempts this preseason.
As long as this contest stays close, Gray should be able to score at least 12 points in the first game for Las Vegas.
Jonquel Jones to Record a Double-Double (+120)
The 2024 Finals MVP was a major cog in the Liberty winning their first championship. Jonquel Jones averaged 14.2 points and nine rebounds last season, while recording 14 double-doubles. The veteran forward finished with two double-doubles against Las Vegas during the 2024 season.
Jones averaged the third-highest defensive rebounding percentage last season (27.4%). If the Liberty forward can improve her offensive rebounding production, Jones is going to finish many more contests with double-digit points and rebounds in 2025. The decrease from the prior year was an extremely steep 5.5%.
Jones has played sparingly through the preseason, only playing 18 minutes in both exhibition games. We expect the New York forward to see at least 32 minutes in this contest. The rebounds will be the more difficult side of this prop, however, Jones looks to be in a solid spot to finish with at least 10 points and rebounds today.
Kelsey Mitchell Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-110)
Kelsey Mitchell averaged a career-high 19.2 points on 46.8% shooting from the field last season, while knocking down 2.7 three-pointers per game. The Indiana guard also averaged 2.8 boards and 1.8 assists.
The Fever spent the offseason building around their backcourt and adding multiple options that will help spread the floor for both Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell. This should mean more opportunities to not only score for Mitchell going forward, but to make a few plays for others as well.
The veteran guard finished off the last month of the season in 2024 by averaging 22 points, 2.3 boards and 1.3 assists per game. This prop is heavily reliant on the scoring aspect, yet that isn't going to deter us from taking the over on Mitchell finishing this contest with at least a combined 23 points + rebounds + assists.
Kamilla Cardoso 12+ Points (+100)
Now in her second year in the WNBA, Kamilla Cardoso will most likely have an opportunity to expand production, due to an increase in usage and playing time. The Chicago center’s rookie season was no doubt a frustrating one, as time on the floor was extremely unpredictable for the high draft pick.
With a new coach this season and a new plan of attack for the Sky, Cardoso should be featured heavily in the offense for the young and exciting Chicago team. Cardoso averaged 9.8 points and 7.9 boards in only 27.4 minutes per game last season. The second-year standout scored 13 points in 25 minutes in the Sky's final preseason game against Minnesota.
Cardoso is most likely looking at around 30 minutes on the floor this season, and the plus action on 12 points will almost certainly not be long-lived. We will jump on this prop now and double our money for Cardoso to score 12+ points.
Alyssa Thomas to Record a Double-Double (+110)
It's a new year/new team situation for the veteran point forward going into her 11th WNBA season. Alyssa Thomas was dealt to Phoenix in the offseason, with hopes of pushing this team into the playoffs and beyond.
Thomas averaged 10.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 7.9 assists last season, while recording 19 double-doubles (including the playoffs). The newly acquired veteran finished the 2024 postseason with four double-doubles in seven playoff games. Thomas is capable of posting double-digit counting stats in three separate ways, which gives us a small advantage on this prop.
The playmaking forward for the Mercury posted 15 points, with six assists and five rebounds in only 23 minutes in the team’s final exhibition game. We expect at least 10+ minutes of extra playing time in this contest, which should result in Thomas finishing with a double-double.
Enjoy the games today and good luck with your picks.
