Top NBA Betting Picks for Clippers vs. Suns: Game 2 (6/22)
With the Atlanta Hawk’s victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, the Conference Finals matchups have been finalized, and we’ll get to see some fresh blood win a ring this year. In the West, either the Clippers or Chris Paul will finally make an NBA Finals appearance; in the East, both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Trae Young have a shot to prove their doubters wrong.
We’re set for a thrilling few weeks of basketball, and here are the best bets for tonight’s Game 2 between the Suns and Clippers.

1. Devin Booker Over 6.5 Assists | -132 at FD Sportsbook
Booker’s assist line is broken. The juice sat at -105 earlier this morning, and FanDuel has since moved it down to -132. While the new line offers less value, this total remains very exploitable. Booker recorded a whopping 11 assists in Game 1 as Phoenix’s primary ball-handler, and he should be in line for similar production tonight.
Of course, this line is no longer as broken as it was for Game 1. That total was set at 5.5, which was well below what Booker averaged without Chris Paul last season (6.5) and the year before (6.8). That said, those numbers still point to value here, albeit less so.
I like this play for more than just Booker’s strong Game 1 showing. He also recorded eight assists in the one regular-season game that he played without Paul. With Phoenix’s roster chock full of talented role players, expect Booker to stuff the stat sheet full of dimes.
2. Deandre Ayton Over 15.5 Points | -110 at FD Sportsbook
With Ty Lue seemingly committed to using Nicolas Batum at the five, Ayton has a three-inch advantage over his primary defender. That helped him record an impressive 20 points in Game 1. Barring an adjustment from Lue, Ayton should continue to feast in the paint.
While Ayton’s regular-season points per game average (14.4) doesn’t point to value here, his playoff average (15.6) does (well, slightly). However, I’m more interested in his past matchups with the Clippers. Ayton recorded point totals of 24 (Jan. 3), 18 (Apr. 8), and 5 (Apr. 28) this year. His one bust came against a bigger Clippers lineup that featured Ivica Zubac as the starting center.
Also, Ayton has been at his best in the opening two-game home stretches of Phoenix’s playoff series. He has recorded point totals of 21 (vs. LAL Game 1), 22 (Game 2), 20 (vs. DEN, Game 1), and 15 (Game 2). While it seems that teams have been able to make adjustments to slow him down, those shifts have taken enough time for Ayton to at least start off strong.
