Top NBA Betting Picks for Saturday, April 3

The NBA has a jam-packed slate on Saturday night, but there are no marquee games to speak of, possibly because of the Final Four also taking place later today. Despite the lack of a banner game, we have some exciting betting angles to target, including four double-digit spreads and a number of standout team and player props.

Here are the top NBA betting plays for Saturday, April 3, provided by BettingPros experts Raju Byfield and Isaiah Sirois (Main game odds courtesy BettingPros Consensus; lock and prop odds sites may vary):

Betting Lock of the Day

Byfield: Bucks -6.5 (-110 at FD Sportsbook)
The Milwaukee Bucks present one of the best potential values on the board for a packed Saturday slate. P.J. Tucker is expected to miss the game, but the Bucks will otherwise be healthy to square off against a Sacramento Kings team that they beat by 13 earlier this season. The game should be tighter in Sacramento, but the -6.5 is one of the highest probability lines available on a day when half of the contests have double-digit spreads.

Top Team Prop of the Day

Byfield: Bucks 1st quarter Over 30.5 (-120 at FD Sportsbook)
The Milwaukee Bucks looks like an easy over tap tonight. The Sacramento Kings have allowed 31.1 first quarter points per game this season, good for the NBA’s second-worst mark. Milwaukee has averaged the third-most first quarter points per game at 30.6. The line at FanDuel sitting at just 30.5 means that sharp money will likely continue to be pounded on the over, so lock this one to avoid having to pay higher juice.

Top Player Prop of the Day

Byfield: Norman Powell Under 16.5 Points (-114 at FD Sportsbook)
Norman Powell was cooking before his trade to the Portland Trail Blazers, and while he debuted with a bang, he has been held to 14 or fewer points in each of his last three contests. He has yet to find a true rhythm in the offense and is now functioning as the third option on most nights, a far cry from the number one role he played for a COVID ravaged Raptors team. Powell will find his groove with the Blazers, and the Oklahoma City Thunder just may be the ‘get right’ team he needs. However, based on his production and role in Portland outside of his first game, 16.5 will be an easy under tap until he proves he can be a consistent 17 ppg scorer behind Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum.
