Top NBA Betting Picks for Sunday, January 10

Well, after a nice weekend of sports betting action, it’s finally Sunday. If you’re looking for some betting tips as we all deal with the Sunday scaries, here are our predictions for tonight’s slate of games.

Here are the top NBA betting plays for Sunday, January 10, provided by BettingPros experts Raju Byfield, Isaiah Sirois, and Vaughn Dalzell (Main game odds courtesy BettingPros Consensus; lock and prop odds sites may vary):

Betting Locks of the Day

Sirois: Bulls +11.5 (-106 at FD Sportsbook)

The Chicago Bulls aren’t a great basketball team. They’re 4-6 and are on a two-game losing skid, but with that said, they don’t deserve to be 11.5-point underdogs against the Clippers. Their average point differential (-5.2) points to value on them as dogs, as do both teams’ efficiency stats, which call for a two-point Chicago loss when combined with pace projections. The Bulls don’t need to win this game for this line to cash, nor do they need to keep things that competitive. They just need to keep it within 11, and with their respectable recent form, that’s something I think they can accomplish.

Dalzell: Knicks and Nuggets Over 214 (-110 at FD Sportsbook)

The Knicks and Nuggets 7-1 to the over in their last eight meetings, and that trend should continue. Denver is averaging 116.8 points per game on the season, fifth-most, while New York ranks 28th at 102.7 points per game; they can score given the opportunity. In four of the Knicks’ five wins, they scored 106 or more and 113 in or more in three of four. In their last four games, Denver has scored 115 or more in all four and their opponents two times.

Best Team Props of the Day

Sirois: Nets Fourth Quarter -1.5 (-102 at FD Sportsbook)

The Brooklyn Nets score the second-most fourth-quarter points per game (29) and allow the fifth-fewest fourth-quarter points per game (25.1). Meanwhile, the Thunder score the fewest fourth-quarter points per game (22.9) by almost a full point. If trends continue, the Nets should handily take the last frame by at least two.

Dalzell: Lakers Over 112.5 Points (-110 at FD Sportsbook)

The Lakers are averaging just a point over this on the season, but we all know Houston’s defensive struggles. They get a boost back with Christian Wood in the lineup, but the game total has risen from 220 to 222.5 since opening. The over is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings in Houston. The Lakers scored 112 in three of the four wins during their postseason series and 111 and 124 in the last two regular-season meetings.

Best Player Props of the Day

Sirois: Kyle Lowry Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (-136 at FD Sportsbook)

The Golden State Warriors are giving up the second-most three-pointers per game (14.9), and Kyle Lowry is averaging 3.8 three-pointers per game. He’s sunk at least three shots from deep in five of his eight games this year, and he’s on track to do it again in what should be a high-scoring battle between the Warriors and Raptors.

Dalzell: Coby White Under 18.5 Points (-116 at FD Sportsbook)

Coby White cooled off a little versus the Lakers, finishing with 14 points on 6-of-14 shooting. He scored 23, 21, and 36 points, a career-high, in that order of the last three games. His 14 points were his fourth-lowest of the season. The Clippers have played some tough guard combinations thus far, and their numbers aren’t the best, thanks to Steph Curry, Damian Lillard, and Dejounte Murray. White reaching 19-20 points is a tough sell, especially with Zach LaVine playing so well lately.
