Top NBA Betting Picks for Thursday, April 15
After a hectic Wednesday NBA slate, things will cool back down this evening. We have just four games on tap, which is a nice breather before tomorrowâs loaded 12-game slate.
Here are the top NBA betting plays for Thursday, April 15, provided by BettingPros experts James Bisson, Raju Byfield, and Isaiah Sirois (Main game odds courtesy BettingPros Consensus; lock and prop odds sites may vary):

Betting Lock of the Day
Sirois: Suns -12 (-114 at FD Sportsbook)
The Suns have gone 20-10 ATS at home this year. Thatâs the second-best such record in the NBA, trailing only the Utah Jazz. In contrast, the Kings have gone just 13-14 ATS when on the road. These teams met twice earlier this season, as they played a back-to-back series in Sacramento last December. The Suns lost the first game by three points, but they won the second by 16. Since that series, the Kings have lost Marvin Bagley and Richaun Holmes to injuries; the Suns remain in good health. Also, the Kings are on the wrong half of a back-to-back, as the Wizards just topped them last night. Both Harrison Barnes and DeâAaron Fox played 40-plus minutes in the loss. I expect the Suns to capitalize on the rest advantage and cover.
Top Team Prop of the Day
Sirois: Bucks First Half -2.5 (-105 at FD Sportsbook)
The Bucks score the second-most points per first half (59.9) and allow the 12-fewest (55.5). In contrast, the Hawks score the 14th-most (56.7) and allow the 13th-fewest (55.6). The difference in points scored gives us 0.7 points of edge, which isnât great, but the injury reports also point to value on Milwaukee. The Hawks will remain without DeâAndre Hunter, Cam Reddish, and John Collins; both Trae Young and Danilo Gallinari are questionable, too. In contrast, the Bucks are pretty healthy, and they have a real shot at getting Giannis Antetokounmpo back. Look for them to start tonightâs game by winning the first half by at least three points.
Top Player Prop of the Day
Sirois: Chris Paul Over 9.5 Assists (-108 at FD Sportsbook)
This line sits near the plus money despite Sacramentoâs incompetent defense. The Kings give up the 10th-most assists per game to point guards, and Chris Paul should easily nose over this total. He recorded exactly 12 assists in both of Phoenixâs earlier games against Sacramento, too. He leads the team in assists per game (8.7), and though that figure sits below this total, he is averaging above that mark (9.1) in April. Paul has gone over this total in two of his last three, and his one miss came by a whopping one assist. Look for him to surpass this figure again tonight.
