Top NBA Parlay Odds & Picks for Thursday April 28 (2022)

There are three Game 6s on the slate, and it couldn’t be any more exciting. We’ve seen a series close three days in a row, and there’s a good chance we’ll see more, but which ones? All three teams that can clinch are on the road, so this will be a good test in a high-pressure situation this early in the playoffs.

Philadelphia 76ers (-1.5) vs. Toronto Raptors O/U 210.5
(Tip-Off 7 p.m. ET)

There’s no sugar-coating this — the 76ers are collapsing. Once up 3-0 in this series, they’ve lost the last two and now have to play on the road to a Toronto team that has momentum.

What should make Philly fans nervous are the people involved. Doc Rivers is no stranger to the playoff collapse as he’s the only head coach in NBA history to blow three separate 3-1 series leads. Then there’s James Harden, who is notoriously known for disappearing in the playoffs. It’s a different year with the same results as Harden is shooting just 37.3% from the field in the series, 32.1% in the two losses, and 28.6% from three.

Fred VanFleet is doubtful to play in Game 6 as he deals with a strained hip flexor. For Game 5, the Raptors went with a bigger lineup, but with Khem Birch at 6-foot-9 being the largest player, a 7-foot Joel Embiid could still dominate, but that wasn’t the case. The 76ers did not adjust, couldn’t go inside, and Toronto outscored them 56-36 in the paint.

It looks like Embiid’s thumb injury might be affecting his play from the perimeter, so he needs to live on boards to score.

Toronto will not go out without a fight at home, and Philadelphia will throw everything not to force a Game 7. This game will be close until the end, so over 210.5 is your best bet with the small spread.

Leg 1: Over 210.5

Phoenix Suns (-2) vs. New Orleans Pelicans O/U 214
(Tip-Off 7:30 p.m. ET)

For the Suns to win Game 5, they needed someone else not named Deandre Ayton or Chris Paul to put up points, and they got it. Mikal Bridges came up big with a game-high 31 points, and Chris Payne came off the bench with 12 points in 12 minutes to be a game away from the Western Conference semi-finals.

With Devin Booker still not ready to return, Phoenix needs to continue to get help from the supporting cast.

The Pelicans did not do a good job of disrupting the ball as they had just 14 assists in the game, ten below their average. New Orleans usually plays at a slow pace, but it looked at times they were going for the quick shot. That’s not their game, and they need to play at their pace if they want to force a Game 7.

It took some time for the Suns to execute an efficient game plan without Booker, and it looks like they’ve done it. They are the better team throughout the roster, and now by getting some help outside of Ayton and Chris Paul, they’ll close out the series.

Leg 2: Suns -2

Dallas Mavericks (PK) vs. Utah Jazz O/U 209.5
(Tip-Off 10 p.m. ET)

The good news for the Jazz is Donovan Mitchell should be available for Game 6, but it might be too late at his point.

Luka Doncic is back and is as good as ever as he’s shooting 51.5% in the two games and looked dominant in the blowout win. They’ve been limiting his minutes, and he still had 30 points in both games while playing under 34 minutes.

The Jazz were getting pressed hard by the Dallas defense, and they did not have an answer. Utah is a heavy outside shooting team as they average the second-highest three points attempts in the league. They have not been able to shoot from behind the arc, and when they do, they’re missing. The Jazz are just 13-for–65 (20%) from three in the last two games and just 3-for-30 in Game 5.

Dallas has the momentum, and even with Utah’s win in Game 4, they weren’t the better team. Dallas allowed Utah to attempt 42 free throws in Game 4, but in Game 5, they were able to play efficient defense and keep them off the charity stripe. In a pick-em,’ there’s confidence in Dallas closing it out.

Leg 3: Dallas PK
