Betting the GIFT (Goal In First Ten) is simple. Pick whether or not a game will have a goal scored in the first 10 minutes of play (00:00-09:59). It's that easy and all you have to do is root for anyone to score and you win. It is an area of hockey betting with a high success rate league-wide, with over 84% of the league currently cashing at 50% or better this season. By the end of the season, that number should be even closer to 90% meaning there is still plenty of money left to be made from GIFTs this season.
Anytime Goal Scorer props are even easier. Pick a player to score and if they light the lamp at any point, you win!

Carolina Hurricanes at Chicago Blackhawks
The Hurricanes are expected to send out Frederik Anderson to tend the twine. The 35-year-old Dane returns from a roughly three-month absence following an excellent start to the season. He comes in at 3-1-0, carrying a 1.49 GAA and a .941 Save% this season. Carolina is 29-17 cashing the GIFT this season, including a 13-9 record (591) away from Lenovo Arena. The Canes have blown away the GIFT in six of their last ten games including three of their last four on the road.
On the opposite end of the ice, Chicago will likely roll out Petr Mrazek to guard the crease. The 32-year-old Czech is 9-16-1, carrying a 3.24 GAA and a .894 Save% this season. The Blackhawks are 30-16 cashing the GIFT this season with an incredible 18-5 record on the friendly United Center ice. The ChiHawks have cashed the GIFT in an insane nine straight games including six in a row at home.
These teams’ combined 59-33 record (.641) cashing the GIFT this season and this includes a stellar 31-14 record (.689) in these home/road conditions should mean even more early fireworks in the still smoky skies over Lake Michigan.
