Betting the GIFT (Goal In First Ten) is simple. Pick whether or not a game will have a goal scored in the first 10 minutes of play (00:00-09:59). It's that easy and all you have to do is root for anyone to score and you win. It is an area of hockey betting with a high success rate league-wide, with over 78% of the league currently cashing at 50% or better this season. By the end of the season, that number should be even closer to 90% meaning there is still plenty of money left to be made from GIFTs this season.

The Avalanche are expected to send out Scott Wedgewood to guard the crease. The 33-year-old Canadian comes in at 16-1-4, carrying a 2.01 GAA and an .924 Save% on the season. Colorado is 25-11 (.694) cashing the GIFT this season, including a 11-8 record (.579) away from Ball Arena. The Avs have covered the GIFT in five of their last eight games, including two of their last four on the road.
On the opposite end of the ice, Vegas will likely roll out Carter Hart to defend the net. The 27-year-old Canadian is 4-1-2 carrying a 2.48 GAA and a .904 Save% this season. The Golden Knights are 22-13 (.629) cashing the GIFT this season with a 11-6 record (.647) on the friendly T-Mobile Arena ice. Vegas has cashed the GIFT in seven of their last 10 games including four straight at home.
These teams’ combined 47-24 record (.662) cashing the GIFT this season including a 22-14 (.611) in these home/road conditions should mean the lamp is lit early and often up in the desert.
