Top NHL GIFT & Anytime Goal Scorer Prop Bet Picks: Saturday (12/7)

Betting the GIFT (Goal In First Ten) is simple. Pick whether or not a game will have a goal scored in the first 10 minutes of play (00:00-09:59). It's that easy and all you have to do is root for anyone to score and you win. It is one area of hockey betting that has a high success rate league-wide with 81.25% of the league currently cashing at 50% or better this season. By the end of the season, that number should be upwards of 90% meaning there is plenty of money left to be made from GIFTs this season.

Anytime Goal Scorer props are even easier. Pick a player to score and if they light the lamp at any point, you win!

On the heels of a 4-0 sweep in Thursday’s article, let’s keep the good times rolling this weekend!

2024 Record: 53-59-1 | GIFT Record: 25-14 | ATG Record: 28-45-1 | Last: 4-0 | Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook

Winnipeg Jets at Chicago Blackhawks

Winnipeg will send out Connor Hellebuyck to guard the crease. The 31-year-old is 16-5-0, carrying a 2.14 GAA and a .927 Save% this season. The Jets are 17-10 cashing the GIFT this season, with a 12-4 (.750) record away from Canada Life Centre. The GIFT is 4-1 in Winnipeg’s last five games and 7-3 in their last 10.

On the opposite end of the rink, Chicago will roll out Petr Mrazek to tend the twine. The 32-year-old is 7-11-1, carrying a 2.86 GAA and a .905 Save% this season. The Hawks are 15-11 cashing the GIFT this season, with eight cashes in 11 games (.727) on the friendly United Center ice. The GIFT is 4-1 in Chicago’s last five and 6-4 in their last 10.

These teams’ combined 32-21 record (.604) cashing the GIFT this season along with a combined 20-7 record (.741) in these home/road conditions so the lamp should light early in Tampa tonight.

Pick: Goal In First Ten (-140)

Philadelphia Flyers at Boston Bruins

The Flyers will send out Aleksei Kolosov to guard the net. The 22-year-old is 3-5-0, carrying a 3.22 GAA and an .882 Save% this season. Philly is 16-10 cashing the GIFT this season, with seven GIFT cashes in 12 games away from Ball Arena. The GIFT is 5-0 in Philadelphia’s last five games and 7-3 in their last 10.

On the opposite end of the rink, Boston will roll out Jeremy Swayman to mind things for the home team. The 26-year-old is 8-9-2, carrying a 3.03 GAA and an .893 Save% this season. The B’s are 14-14 cashing the GIFT this season, with eight of those cashes coming on the friendly TD Garden ice. The GIFT is 4-1 in the Bruins’ last five games and 7-3 in their last 10.

Given these teams’ combined 30-24 (.706) record cashing the GIFT this season, including a 15-13 record (.536) in these home/road conditions, as well as a combined 9-1 record in their last five respective games, this prop should have no problem hitting.
