Betting the GIFT (Goal In First Ten) is simple. Pick whether or not a game will have a goal scored in the first 10 minutes of play (00:00-09:59). It's that easy and all you have to do is root for anyone to score and you win. It is one area of hockey betting that has a nearly league-wide positive success rate with 93.75% of the league currently cashing at 50% or better last season.

New York Islanders at St. Louis Blues
New York will roll out Ilya Sorokin who went 25-19-12 with a 3.01 Goals Against Average and .908 Save% in 56 appearances last season. The 29-year-old is 1-0-0 while carrying a 2.00 GAA and a .941 Save% so far this season. The Isles are 2-1 cashing the GIFT this season including 1-0 in Sorokin’s inaugural start.
On the other side of the ice, St. Louis will counter with Jordan Binnington in goal tonight and he finished last season with a 2.84 GAA and a .913 Save Percentage. He also carried a 28-21-5 record in 55 appearances. Binnington is 1-2-0 while carrying a 3.02 GAA and a .895 Save% in the early goings this season. The GIFT has cashed in both of Binnington’s last two starts and St. Louis is 3-1 this season cashing the GIFT including 1-0 on the friendly ice of Enterprise Center.
As I’ve alluded to, these two teams are 5-2 cashing the GIFT and that should continue tonight.
