Betting the GIFT (Goal In First Ten) is simple. Pick whether or not a game will have a goal scored in the first 10 minutes of play (00:00-09:59). It's that easy and all you have to do is root for anyone to score and you win. It is one area of hockey betting that has a nearly league-wide positive success rate with 93.75% of the league currently cashing at 50% or better this season. Detroit Red Wings at Florida Panthers
The Red Wings have cashed this prop in 65% of their games this season, good for the ninth-highest rate in the league. Additionally, Detroit has cashed GIFTs away from Little Caesars Arena at an even higher 66% rate this season and accounted for 14 of their 28 GIFTs. The Red Wings have also cashed this prop three of their last five and seven of ten overall.
Florida’s 55% (24-for-43) season GIFT strike rate may be tied for 21st-best in the league, but they are arguably the hottest GIFT team (team period, for that matter) in the league right now and are the only team that has cashed each of their last five games. The Panthers have only hit this prop in 45% of their home games, but have cashed in four straight contests at Amerant Bank Arena. Florida has also cashed the GIFT in seven of their last ten games overall.

Montreal Canadians at New Jersey Devils
The Canadiens are tied with the aforementioned Panthers for 21st in the NHL in GIFT cash rate but also like Florida, Montreal is currently one of the hotter GIFT cashing teams in the league.. They have delivered GIFTs in their last two games away from Centre Bell, their only two road games since the calendar flipped to 2024. The Habs have cashed in six of their last ten games overall.
The Devils have cashed this prop in 60% of their games this season, good for the 14th-highest rate in the league. However, they have still cashed nine more times than not. Prudential Center GIFTs have cashed at an identical 6o% rate this season and accounted for 12 of their 25 GIFTs. The Devils have also cashed this prop in seven of ten overall.
