Top NHL Parlay Odds & Picks for Friday, May 27 (2022)

The St. Louis Blues battled back to tie Game 5 on two occasions on Wednesday night before ultimately winning in overtime thanks to a Tyler Bozak goal. The Blues return home tonight, still trailing 3-2 in the series to the Colorado Avalanche, but they have life!

Here’s a two-leg parlay that I’m locking in for tonight’s game that pays +367 at DraftKings

Colorado Avalanche (-175) vs. St. Louis Blues (+150) O/U 6.5

(Puck Drop: 8:00 p.m. ET)

Momentum is crucial in playoff hockey, and it’s shifted to the Blues as they return to Enterprise Center tonight. St. Louis was trailing 3-0 late into the second period of Game 5, but the momentum shifted as the third period, and overtime was all Blues. You have to ride the hot hand returning home, regardless of the statistics.

However, this matchup has a slight statistical advantage, and it comes on special teams. St. Louis has killed 82.9% of their penalties this postseason, while Colorado enters tonight’s matchup at 70.8%. On the flip side, the Avs are the best power-play team in the playoffs at 33.3%, while the Blues are right behind them at 32.4%. Look for St. Louis to take advantage of any man-advantage opportunities tonight. That may ultimately be the difference-maker in Game 6. Let’s take a shot with the underdog and add the Blues as the first leg of our parlay.

Leg 1: Blues ML (+150)

We are getting more and more goals as the series carries on. One likely reason is due to Jordan Binnington being sidelined with an injury. Binnington was finding his stride before getting hurt and exiting Game 3 early. Since then, Ville Husso has taken over the netminding responsibilities for St. Louis. The Finnish-born goalie has posted a 3.78 GAA and 0.884 SV% in the postseason thus far. The Avs have been able to get to him, scoring 13 goals against him over the last three games.

With each of these power-play units buzzing like they are, I’m expecting there to be no shortage of goals tonight in St. Louis. The Avalanche are one of the best offenses in the game, and if the Blues want a chance to win, they’ll have to keep pace on the scoreboard. Let’s round out this two-legger by locking in the over.

Leg 2: Over 6.5 (-115)
